November 2016 Peaches & Petals Unboxing + Promo Code

We got a nice teaser last month for November’s Peaches & Petals box and I was really looking forward to it!   Peaches & Petals is a subscription service that is focused on lifestyle and beauty products.  From their website  “Experience our world of fun, flirty and fashionable vintage-modern lifestyle in a hand-curated box delivered to you each month”  This box was sent to me for review purposes from Peaches & Petals and I thank them for their generosity as always :)  I am always appreciative of companies who look for honest feedback on their services.

Informational Card

No informational card this month…  But the theme is “Campfire & Cuddles

Explanation on valuing products:  Since Peaches & Petals does not give a value on their products,  I normally will use the Retail Value from the vendor’s site or an average if I find the product on multiple sites with varying prices.  Subscription boxes are usually basing their value on Retail Value, not Markdown or Sale Values.  With that in mind, you can usually find products for less, just like anything else in the marketplace.

Super Soft Embossed Throw  This isn’t embossed that much, it is more textured ~ however this is fantastic!  The variations were the colors and I received an light aqua shade, which I love!  I still love my aqua and brown shades together, so this will look very nice on my chocolate brown sofa.  This is very plush and soft, measuring 50 x 60 inches, so it big enough to wrap most of your important body parts.  This is a machine washable 100% polyester, just tumble low on cool to dry.   Based on what I can find online, I will guess that this   RV is around $15.00

General Mills Lucky Charms Lip Balm  This is in a marshmallow flavor, so I guess it fits with the whole campfire (s’mores) theme.  I think this is the only product in the box I will not use and it feels out of place.  3.4 grams RV $2.00

Ingredients: mineral oil, polybutene, petrolatum, ozokerite, synthetic wax, ethylhexyl palmitate, paraffin, copernicia cerifera (carnauba) wax, sodium saccharin, fragrance, phenoxyethanol  +/- titanium dioxide, red 6 lake, red 7 lake, red 21 lake, red 27 lake, blue 1 lake, yellow 5 lake, yellow 6 lake, yellow 10 lake, manganese violet, iron oxides

Slightly Melted Shower Mochi in Apple Cider & Salted Caramel  Now this is more like it!! I would rather have hand crafted skincare products that a mass produced item.   I received Slighted Melted Shower Mochi’s in my February box, and I am thrilled to see them back in different scents.  In fact, that month also saw a weird lip balm as well ~ a Girl Scout Cookie one.  Anyway, this month has some wonderful warm fall scents ~ the apple cider really has a nice strong apple scent to it and I could smell the caramel right away.  These are sugar scrubs that are very compact and they do hold together due to the oils and butters they add ~ you just use these on your elbows, feet or any rough spot on your skin.  I get about 2 to 3 uses out of these Mochi.  Slightly Melted is an etsy shop and you can save 15% by using promo code SWEET  RV $4.00

Description: A Shower Mochi is a bar of sugar scrub paste, or dough, similar in it’s sticky texture to the Japanese rice cake which is also called mochi. Our mochi is made very differently of course. We use finely ground rice and course sugar for exfoliation. Gentle cleansers for getting you clean. Cocoa butter and coconut oil to lightly moisturize your skin without leaving you standing in a puddle of oil or making your tub floor into a slippery mess

Mountain Lodge Merino Wool Outdoor Sport Socks  I need a good pair of wool socks for when I have to go outside and shovel snow.  I am always winding up with one wool sock and cannot find its mate!!  These blue socks are made from 82% merino wool, 15% nylon, 2% spandex and 1% elastic ~ they have an arch support and cushioned foot, so feet will be very comfortable.  They won’t fall down your calf either, as it has ribbed support ~ merino wool will keep your feet warm and dry, while the breathable mesh will make sure that your feet don’t get stinky or wet.   This is a unisex sock, fitting men’s shoe size 4-9 and women’s 4-10, so if you want to give this to guy, you can!  These are made in the USA RV $8.00

Campfire Mug   This was our spoiler and I do like it!  It is a cute ceramic mug, made to look like a real campfire tin mug (it isn’t tin, so don’t even try to use it as a camping mug).   It has a black speckled on white glaze with the saying of “Let’s Make S’mores & Cuddle” on the front, which means this mug WILL NOT be going into work with me! haha   I couldn’t find this mug online, but similar mugs found at etsy and retailers make this around $10.00.  I don’t use the cost on the bulk suppliers, as many people will not purchase $500.00 worth of mugs and other wholesale sites charge you a lot for shipping.

This was a hard month to follow last month’s, which was my favorite ever P&P box.  This month was really nice and I love the throw and the Shower Mochi (good to see them back!)   The mug is nice and the socks are useful for the winter, but I feel there was something missing this month from the box to round it off.  I didn’t care for the lip balm but you cannot please everyone all the time!  Peaches & Petals monthly subscription boxes are $19.99 a month and that includes shipping.   This month, the box looks to be of  a retail value about $39.00 in retail value.  Many thanks to Miranda for sending me this box to review ~ I always look forward to seeing what P&P puts in their boxes and this month was a good warmup for the winter to come. Did you receive this month’s Peaches & Petals box?  What was your favorite item and what do you think of it?

If you subscribe to Peaches and Petals currently, you could win a makeup brush set by posting a photo of your unboxing ~ see below on the rules.
