What’s In Your Aroma Box?

This month’s theme is “Give Me Energy!”,  which are scents that will invigorate and awaken you.

All of the essential oils, unless otherwise noted, have a screw top lid and there is a plastic lid inside that has a tube, so that you don’t spill out all of your oil if you drop the bottle (and it doesn’t break).  I also like that the oils are in dark cobalt blue glass bottles to help protect them from UV rays and light.

Petitgrain (citrus aurantium) Pure Essential Oil   This is 100% pure, natural and vegan.  Petitgrain is made from citrus leaves.  This is very noticeable from other citrus scents, as I can smell the sharp and bitter citrus but there is a strong green scent to this that citrus scents normally do not have.  It is very clean, green and uplifting ~ it reminds me of green grass.  I like the tip to mix 10 drops of this oil with 3 drops of rosemary and 5 drops sweet orange oil, and mix with water to make a refreshing room freshener.    5 mL RV $5.00

Description: Petitgrain comes from the leaves and twigs of various citrus plants and is traditionally used to reduces skin blemishes, for stress and anxiety, to give strength during emotional times when you are feeling vulnerable and fragile, to give self-confidence, strength and joy. Commonly used for refreshing and uplifting.

Ingredients: 100% Pure Citrus aurantium (Petitgrain) Essential Oil. FCC.

Rosemary (rosmarinus officinalis) Essential Pure Essential Oil   This oil is natural and vegan and when I took a whiff of it, I thought of focaccia bread!  There is a minty undertone with this herb, which I never noticed before ~ in an oil like this, it is very prominent.   I love rosemary products ~ my favorite thing to do is to team it up with peppermint or eucalyptus  ~ it is so cooling and refreshing.  Rosemary is great for helping you clear out your sinuses and wakening you up.  Rosemary is one of those scents that I like to rub thru my hair after I finish styling it, as I think it smells so pretty.  10mL RV $6.57

Description: Invigorating and refreshing, Rosemary has been traditionally used for for respiratory problems, loosening congestion and boosting the immune system. Add to witch hazel to create a tonic that may benefit oily hair, oily scalp and dandruff. Commonly used for its skin healing properties, especially for chronic problems, ideal for dry or mature skin to gently regenerate and stimulate glandular function, for acne prone skin to fight infection, relieves headaches and upset stomachs. Traditionally used for poor memory, mental strain, and inability to concentrate, fatigue and low mental and physical energy.

Coffee (coffea arabica) Pure Essential Oil  Seriously, coffee oil? This is a thing? Where have I been?  This smells just like a freshly roasted brew of coffee and it is amazing. This is going to be used in my sugar scrubs for sure!  Now I need some chocolate essential oil! I could mix this with some woodsy scents too ~ that would be very eye opening and awakening.  This 100% pure natural and vegan oil will help remove odors around your house as well.   5 mL  RV $10.50

Description: Delicious, stimulating and rich. Removes odors. Place a few drops on a light bulb ring for a quick pick-me-up. Great added to lip balm.

  • Origin: Brazil
  • Parts Used:  Bean

Conquer The Day Roll On Blend Oil  This is our roll on perfume oil and is made with essential oils that will help increase your energy, stimulate your mind and body, while combating fatigue.  It is made with sparkling citrus oils and a trio of herbal oils, which is very uplifting.  I can really smell the herbals of thyme, rosemary and peppermint and as it dries down, I can pick up the orange scents.  I will be making my long drive back to the homestead soon and Herb Stop recommends putting this on a cotton ball in your car to help refresh and give you more energy while driving.  I will be doing that for sure!  RV $15.95

Ingredients: 100% Pure Essential Oils of Petitgrain, Organic Orange, Rosemary, Peppermint and Thyme in a base of Pure Golden Jojoba Oil.

Suggested Use: Massage a small amount of oil on pulse points area as desired. Avoid sensitive areas such as the eyes and mouth. Avoid sun exposure, or use sunblock, on the applied areas.

Herb Stop also included an “Energy Spray” recipe which uses all of the oils in this month’s box, plus some booze!  Maybe I will drink it instead ~ haha.  Use 10 drops of petitgrain, 5 drops of rosemary, 1 drops of coffee and add to 1 oz of distilled water and 1 oz of vodka to a 2 oz glass spray bottle.  Shake well and spritz whenever you feel run-down.  They also have included a promo code to save 10% off any of their full sized oils and roll-on’s in their shop  ~ use ABA16.

I really enjoyed this box from Herb Stop this month ~ a nice variety of a green citrus, a herbal-minty scent and a wake-me-up-before-you-go-go coffee scent.  Along with a refreshing awakener roll on perfume oil that will help me when I start my 13 hour trek back home.   I paid $19.99 for this and received a value of $38.00, which included a custom blend recipe roll on.  Please note, essentials oils are not to replace seeing a doctor if you have serious ailments or issues.  However, aromatherapy, scents and herbal tinctures/oils have been used for centuries with great success.   I would never state that this should replace seeing your doctor, but if you know your body and you have discussed this with your doctor, you should be able to use essential oils for minor treatments.  If you are interested in subscribing, you can do so here and use promo code BFFM15  to receive 15% off your first box!

It looks like they are doing sneak peeks on their Instagram  account for upcoming months and I really appreciate the teasers.   Have you signed up for Herb Stop’s essential oil box?  Are you interested in doing so?  BTW – I did purchase a box for my oils and will probably need another one ~ as I have a ton of Haus of Gloi perfume oils too.   I like that box as it has slots for roll on oils as well.
