This month’s PYS was not very awe inspiring as it boiled down to sunscreen, self tanner or body peel. Everyone was going to get a sunscreen, so I decided to pick a sunscreen brand I liked Coola and chose to get the mystery box, not the curated one. This month’s box design in partnership with Keds (yes, sneakers!)
My Box Revealed!
The theme this month is “Let’s take this party outside, shall we?”
Coola Classic Sport Face SPF 50 White Tea Moisturizer This was my PYS choice ~ I do like Coola sunscreen ~ their mango scented version is one of my favorites. This is not a huge sample, but it will be good to carry on me ~ fits nicely in my pockets and I can touch up if I am outside. This is an ultra sheer sunscreen lotion and contains moisturizing evening primrose, sunflower, açaí and chia seed oils and oil-fighting linseed oil, plus fruit extracts ~ orange and strawberries for antioxidant. It is water resistant for up to 80 minutes, which makes this a great sunscreen for exercising or at the poolside. It has a lovely white tea scent as well ~ Coola always makes great scented sunscreens! Sample Size 5 mL RV $3.20

ModelCo Lip Laquer – Crème Brulee I received the mini trio of ModelCo Lip Laquers not that long ago, so I am not overjoyed that I got another one. I was hoping for the Morocco shade, as that was the most pigmented, but I received Crème Brulee which is a very nude nude on me. I don’t need another one, so I will be putting this in a future giveaway! These are nicely formulated, have a fun fruity scent and the gloss is not tacky or sticky. Deluxe Size 1.5 mL RV $5.33
Creme Brulee is the middle shade below (#2)

Goldfaden MD Doctor’s Scrub Ruby Crystal Mircoderm Exfoliator Ohhh, I love a nice scrub and I do not believe I have tried Goldfaden MD before. This has round ruby crystals (which aren’t visible, so no nice red rubies in my scrub!) that will help remove dead skin, dirt and excess oil from your skin. It lso has hyaluronic acid which will help hydrate your skin and botanical plant extracts that will combat free radicals and help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, while refining your skins texture. This smells wonderful too ~ a sweet grapefruit scent. Sample Size .25 oz RV $5.59
Description: This powerful exfoliator uses round ruby crystals to slough away dead skin that has been hiding brighter, younger-looking skin underneath. On top of its exfoliating powers, this multitasking scrub hydrates and plumps with hyaluronic acid, and protects skin from free radicals with antioxidant-rich seaweed and organic red tea extract. Use daily to reduce the appearance of fine lines, minimize pore size, and make skin positively radiant.

Vera Bradley Vanilla Sea Salt Perfume I am not a fan of getting perfumes in my boxes, but this one is really wonderful! I mainly smell vanilla in this scent, but supposedly there is also sea salt, lily of the valley and cotton candy. At any rate, I love sweet vanilla scents and this is really nice. I guess my nose just cannot pick the lily of the valley and cotton candy. Sample 1.5 mL RV $1.44
Description: The key to wearing a vanilla fragrance without feeling like a dessert? Balance. The French vanilla in this nostalgic scent is juxtaposed with notes of sea air, lily of the valley, and cotton candy, which all work together to evoke the nostalgic feeling of an oceanfront boardwalk. Playful and cozy, this well-rounded scent is also pretty to display, and features a tinted glass bottle with the brand’s signature quilt pattern.
Parlor by Jeff Chastain Moisturizing Sea Salt Spray I guess Parlor is the latest brand that Birchbox will be pushing on us. Too much exposure to a brand is not good thing, imho. Anyway, I do like the scent of these hair products ~ it is very fresh, green and fruity ~ and I do enjoy using sea salt sprays on my hair ~ as they do help texturized my fine, straight hair. I spray this into my hair while I am blowdrying it and it gives it volume and texture as well as thickening my hair. Some sea salt sprays dry out your hair, but this has oils and extracts that put moisture back into your hair. Sample Size 1 oz RV $4.90
Description: Beach hair is no longer reserved for long weekends. Bottling the effects of that salty air, this spray from NYC stylist Jeff Chastain offers instant volume and a tousled texture. Sweet almond extract infuses strands with softness, fullness, and brilliance, while vitamin-rich algae extract nourishes and protects the scalp. Adding to this spray’s addictive nature is the scent of ripe peach, fresh-cut grass, and white woods. All products from the line are safe for color-treated hair and are free of sulfates, parabens, and gluten.

This month was okay ~ I really am excited to try out the scrub and love the perfume and I will use the sunscreen and sea salt spray. I already own the lipgloss, so that won’t be used. Other than the scrub and perfume, I wasn’t wow’d by this box. It is okay. I will use 4 out of 5 products, but yeah, kinda meh. This month’s RV of items is worth almost $20.46, which is pretty low in value, and I paid $10.00 for this box. I also reviewed my box, so I got 50 Birchbox points ~ every 100 points is worth $10.00 in their shop.
Do you subscribe to Birchbox? What did you get this month and what was your favorite item?
This looks pretty good and I might have to get it! I would use all of these products.
