I am a recent subscriber to Yogi Surprise Jewelry box and I really enjoyed my first month with them.  I do not have any other jewelry subs as they do not interest me that much, but this one, which is hand crafted, beads/stone jewelry just really appeals to me.  This is my second box from Yogi Surprise Jewelry.   What is Yogi Surprise?

This month’s theme is “Rooting to Transcend”  The golden grace that is fall is nigh.  One last magnificent display of brightly coloured beauty is Mother Nature’s ultimate salute to summer.  Leaves will depart from the trees, dance with the breeze and fall to the earth to nourish her.  The nature of autumn bears promise of cooling fresh air, paths of crispy leaves and marks a time for new life beginnings.   Change is in the air, so let’s pay tribute  to our glorious autumn.  Celebrate the seeds of Yoga, rediscover the strength of rooting down and hail new beginnings!

Tree Agate and White Howlite Elephant Charm Bracelet  This item was the sneak peek for September and it is so cute!  I love the green and white stones together and it will go well with an African turquoise bracelet I have.  Green is my favorite color, so I am pretty happy with this!  I love that Yogi Surprise has their bracelets a bit larger and stretchy.  I have a 6 3/4 inch wrist, which means I need a 7 inch to feel comfortable ~ too many times strechy bracelets are just a tad too small and they pinch my wrists.   That said, I understand that those with more smaller wrists are frustrated by the larger sizes ~ at least you can restring them ~ I would not be able to restring a smaller sized bracelet because the stones would be missing to make this look right, whereas a restring for a smaller wrist means getting rid of a couple of stones.  It would be nice if Yogi Surprise could adjust the profile so we could say small, medium or large wrists, however.   Both of the stones in this bracelet are associated with Virgo, which is the sun sign for the month of September.  Since I am a Virgo, I am pretty jazzed that this bracelet incorporates my sun sign!   RV $65.00

Tree Agate ~ Primary Chakra: Heart-Chakra  Tree Agate is a stone of inner peace and helps calm our nerves, removes egoism and arrogance, helps boots immune system and regulates the balance of water in our body.  It also helps clear up energy blockages to help us connect to the natural cycles in life.  Tree Agate improve our mental functions, to achieve clarity and stability.   Read more at Healing Crystals

Howlite  ~ Primary Chakra:   All-Chakras, Crown-Chakra, Heart-Chakra, Root-Chakra, Sacral-Chakra, Solar-Plexus-Chakra, Third-Eye-Chakra, Throat-Chakra  Howlite is an attunement stone, which allows us to gain higher spiritual consciousness, by opening and preparing the mine to receive energy and wisdom. It helps to reduce anxiety, tension, stress, will calm and sooth emotions, while bringing mental awareness.  Howlite helps absorb anger and negative energies.  Read more at Healing Crystals

Elephant ~ Who doesn’t love elephants?  They are highly intelligent mammals with close relationships and long memories, and can associate places and events. Elephants symbolize strength, honor, stability and patience and in Hinduism, Ganesha, who takes the form of an elephant, is the god of luck, fortune, protection and blesses new endeavors.  Read more at The Treasure Hunt

Golden Hamsa Anklet Hmmmm, this item isn’t what I had in mind for a handcrafted piece.  I love anklets (payal), but this one has bling-bling rhinestones in a gold tone setting.  I love the blue stone beads and the design, because even the end piece has a nice little tear shaped drop.  But in gold?  I would have loved to see this in a silver or pewter color and without the rhinestones.  I can see myself losing all of the rhinestones ~ it is a poor choice for an anklet, imho.  It is adjustable, so it will fit from small to larger ankles.   RV $29.00

Hamsa Hand is a palm shaped amulet which is popular in the Middle East and North Africa, as well as many religions around the world, from Hindu, Judaism, Islam and Christianity.   The open right hand is a sign of protection, going back centuries and the Hamsa is used for protection, to represent God and Divine femininity.

Coracao Confections Cacao Boulder Low Glycemic Chocolate Truffles Dairy and gluten free, vegan and  sweetened with yacon ~ a natural sweetener from Peru that is 98% lower glycemic than honey ~ rich in minerals and helps to maintain a healthy digestive system. Yeah, a truffle that is good for you ~ haha. Coracao Confections has been voted best Chocolatier by Bay Area A-List (San Fran)  I did eat one of them tonight, it is dense, a bit on the dry side for a truffle, but has a great bitter tang of chocolate nibs and it isn’t overly sweet, which is nice.  This would be great with a cup of coffee.  1.5 oz (2 truffles)  RV $6.00

Description: This insanely low sugar truffle will rock your world!  Imagine biting into deep, dark, heavenly cacao and tasting decadent notes of vanilla & almond.  With less than 2 g of sugar per truffle (an apple has 19 g of sugar), it makes for the ultimate guilt-free chocolate experience.  Note: This truffle will not melt in summer heat. It’s the perfect companion for hiking, biking or beach side relaxing.

Ingredients: Organic Raw Cacao Nibs, Organic Unroasted Cacao, Organic Raw Almond Butter, Organic Yacon Syrup, Organic Maca, Organic Mesquite, Organic Vanilla Bean & Himalayan Crystal Salt.

I do have mixed feelings this month with Yogi Surprise ~ I wasn’t expecting a gold tone anklet ~ I had thought that this box would be more earthy and this is very blingy.  I love the bracelet and the chocolates, but the ankle bracelet is a wash for me ~ if they had done it in a pewter tone without the rhinestones, it would have been great ~ but the gold and rhinestones just makes it look so cheap.   Well, as that song goes, 2 out of 3 ain’t bad.  Next month looks to be a labradorite crystal pendant, which is more my style!

I do hope that they go back to the beaded necklaces that were in the first few boxes, as those were so lovely ~ the gold tone stuff just leaves me cold. I do  love that part of the proceeds from this box will go back to those artisans who made these pieces and help education their community.   I paid $25.00 for my box and receive a Yogi Surprise RV of $100.00

  1. I’m with you on the bling of the hamsa anklet. Poor choice, in my opinion, for something that represents something spiritual. It would’ve been more beautiful if it were plain or with stones. Beautiful elephant bracelet, too!
