Unboxing August 2015 Yogi Surprise Jewelry Box + Promo Code

I saw a preview of Yogi Surprise Jewelry box last month and immediately had to check out this subscription service.  I get a lot of skincare and makeup items, plus some lifestyle items from Kloverbox, Herbal Bliss and Flickerbox, but not jewelry.  Most jewelry I’ve seen in sub boxes are inexpensive looking gold or silver toned items and I have real gold and silver jewelry.  What I crave is fun, handcrafted beaded jewelry, to feed my inner bohemian self!

So, I checked out Yogi Surprise and they have 2 different subscription boxes ~ a lifestyle one and a jewelry one

Yogi Surprise Lifestyle Box

  • 6-8 full-size yoga lifestyle items
  • Vegetarian and GMO-Free
  • $70+ retail value in every box
  • $44.95/month + free shipping

Yogi Surprise Jewelry Box

  • 2 handmade pieces + 1 organic treat
  • Handcrafted in Bali. Fair Trade
  • $65+ retail value in every box
  • $24.95/month + free shipping

I wanted the jewelry one, so I signed up for that ~ I might sign up for the lifestyle one in the future if they have some good promo codes :)  The Jewelry box will contain two handcrafted yoga inspired jewelry pieces, that are fair trade, sustainably harvested materials, nickle-free, lead-free and cadmium free.  These are made in Bali, Indonesia and 10% of all proceeds will be given to education the Balinese families to make these beautiful pieces.   It also contains an organic, vegan chocolate treat ~ so like yeah!

My items were packed in a nice study box and both jewelry items came in a natural cotton bag

Jasper Stone Necklace This necklace was the preview (spoiler) that I saw and it is an Amethyst and Jasper stone beaded necklace.  The neutral shades of Jasper beads work well with the violet Amethyst chunks.  This is a great summer necklace and it goes with just about everything!  This is a good length as well at 22 inches.  RV $98.00

I decided to look up what amethyst and jasper stones represent:

Amethyst:  Balancing the Crown Chakra, Third Eye and Crown Chakras and is the color of Spirituality.

Cleanses, cleansing, purifies, restructures and renews. Fosters psychic abilities Amethyst is a natural stress reliever that encourages inner strength and brings wealth and a strong business sense to its wearer. It is a crystal of spiritual growth and protection. It brings clarity of the mind to their owner and helps you to become more in tune with your feelings so that you get to know yourself on a much deeper level. Amethyst crystals repel negative energy and attract positive energy, making them a wonderful protection stone for the home. They have one of the strongest powers to rid your home of any negative influence.  source

Amethyst promotes emotional centering.  Metaphysically amethyst encourages you to develop common sense and to become more emotionally centered and focused.  Amethyst is especially beneficial when worn over the throat or heart chakras and also can help with insomnia. If you place a piece of amethyst under your pillow at night it is said to help nightmares and assist in a more restful sleep. It is also said to help enhance prophetic dreams when placed under ones pillow at night or worn as a piece of jewelry while sleeping.  source

Jasper:  The Supreme Nurturer, Base & Sacral Chakras

Jasper is considered a Power Stone and a stone that accepts intense responsibility as a Protection Stone. Jasper gives one the courage to speak out and have personal independence.  Its a stone of the earth, and therefore a very “grounding” stone.  All Jaspers  have excellent protective energies. Jasper helps to re-align all chakras, in integrate those energies for our greatest good.  source

Jasper helps to align the chakras and facilitate dream recall. It is a balancing stone that works to align the physical, emotional and mental bodies with the etheric realm. Placing jasper in a room helps to eliminate negative energies. It also helps one to accept responsibility and become more grounded in the stabilizing energies of the earth. Metaphysically jasper helps to balance the yin and yang energies and stabilize the aura.  source

Lava Stone Pearl Bracelet The second item in the box is a black lava and freshwater pearl bracelet. I was afraid that this might be too small for my wrist, as I come from hardy peasant stock (haha) and my wrists and hands are not birdlike and dainty.  I usually like a 7  inch bracelet for room and this stretchy bracelet allows me the room to fit over my hands and fit nicely on my wrist, without pinching!  I think the length of this is 7 inches, relaxed.   It fits great as there are no gaps between the beads, so this bracelet would fit a medium sized wrist with no problems.  I love the pitted black lava beads with the opalescent white pearls ~ these are all hand made, so variations in the stones and pearls are to be expected  RV $39.00

Lava:  Crown and Higher Crown Chakras

Basalt, also known as Lava,  is a stone of strength and courage, it allows one the opportunity for stability throughout changes in their life. If you are going through a lot of shifts in your life then basalt would be a helpful stone for you. Basalt helps to diminish the negative aspects of one’s character and allow us one to see where modification of your character can be helpful.  source

Pearls: Symbol of Feminine Wisdom, Purity, and Spiritual Transformation, Heart and/or Crown Chakras

White: Symbol of pure heart and mind; innocence, faith.  For solar plexus Chakra (digestion, stomach, immunity) and emotional stress. source

Pearls are known as the stone of sincerity. They bring forth loyalty to any cause. They also signify innocence, integrity, focus, faith and charity. They will help to bring one into a higher star of focus. Pearls can be made from both sea and fresh water the color ranges of peals go from white, black, grey, pink, yellow and bluish grey. They are often times dyed in color in jewelery making. Pearls make very pretty accent pieces to jewelery and have been prized possessions for many years. They help one connect with the Goddess, the ultimate feminine energy. Pearls have been used to treat disorders of the digestive tract and muscular systems, as well as to aid childbirth and fertility.  source

I am really happy with my first Yogi Surprise Jewelry box!   I love the simplicity of the beaded jewelry and I am glad that they are made from natural gemstones and stones.  This box is well worth the $25.00 I spent on it, as I did check around on etsy and eBay for similar items, and the prices do range but Yogi Surprise RV is not that far off the mark, imho.  The RV value of this month’s box is $140.00

I cannot wait to see September’s box!  I hope they will do another Mala necklace as I really want to get one and missed out on the beautiful June Mala pearl necklace.  Do you subscribe to Yogi Surprise?  Which box do you get and what was your favorite item this month?  Let me know in the comments below, I would love to read them🙂

If you are interested in signing up to Yogi Surprise for either their Lifestyle or Jewelry box, I would love it if you used my referral link  You can use the code INSPIRED to save some money off your first box as well!
