Unboxing July 2015 Flicker Box!

I am really loving my candle subscription with FlickerBox!  Even with scents that I cannot use ~ like the Florals in May Box ~ I can gift them and people just love them!  My mom really loves the Lilac candle from May’s box.   This month, however, is all MINE.   The theme is “Blue Lagoon”  and you know I am a lover of aquatic things!

Starting on the left, going clockwise: Big Dipper Wax Works “Citronella” box, Wood & Wax “Ocean & Sea Salt”, Earth Meets Water “Toucan Jungle”, Big Dipper Wax Works “Citronella” tea light, Armadilla Wax Works “Cool Water”, Armadilla Wax Works “Sand Dune”

Earth Meets Water “Toucan Jungle”   ~ The packaging on this candle is delightful!  The top of the candle has a lovely cut out design and around the glass mason jar, is a “twine necklace” where a cute silver toned seahorse dangles.   This also has a most wonderful tropical fruity scent of pineapple, coconut, kiwi and a sweetness that is supposed to be butter cream icing.   Earth Meets Water only uses certified Kosher 100% soybeans and this candle is in a very pretty light coral shade.  These candles are non-toxic, biodegradable and environmentally safe, with wicks that are lead and zinc free.   Only premium phthalate free fragrance oils are used, and all candles are made in small batches and hand poured.   Earth Meets Water operates out of Houston, Texas and this is an etsy shop!  I used their coupon below to purchase a few more candles, as their scents sound amazing ~ The Hippie Panda, Refreshed, Leaves of Life and Secret Forest.   Full Size 8 oz Value $10.00

Big Dipper Wax Works “Citronella” 6-pack Tea Lights ~ I love tea lights and I also love the scent of citronella (call me weird, but I do!)  Along with using citronella essential oil, these are also made with cedarwood essential oil and I just love the scent of these ~ very sharp, but pleasant ~ what summer night wouldn’t include a citronella candle?   Each one of these tea lights are handcrafted with a blend of soy and bees wax, and pure essential oils.   These candles will contain a small amount of natural soy wax to allow for an optimal outdoor burn and the wicks are 100% cotton.  These tea lights do not contain lead or metal and each one should burn for 5 hours!  This is a great set and I am really happy to get these.  6 pack of tea lights Value $8.00

Armadilla Wax Works “Cool Water” and “Sand Dune” Votives ~  These are such a pretty pair with the deep ocean blue of Cool Water and the light beige of Sand Dune.   These votives have a textured finish, which is very unusual and I like it!  These votive candles have a 15 hour burn time and are hand made, using highly refined paraffin wax, cotton wicks and quality fragrances.   Sand Dune has a light scent that is really nice, a bit Asian in its scent whereas Cool Water is fresh, relaxing scent that is very tranquil.    2 votives Value $3.50

Wood & Wax Co “Ocean & Sea Salt” ~ This scent does remind me of the beach ~ it has musk and aquatic florals in a light, but wonderfully scented candle.  The presentation is also top notch as it came in a little cloth bag and has a pretty wood grain printed label on the front of the glass jar.  This creamy vanilla colored candle is made in Chicago, using American grown/harvested soy wax, phthalate free fragrance oils and natural American hardwood wooden wicks.  This is another etsy shop and I love supporting small artisan businesses!  Wood & Wax also makes bath products as well, such as lotion bars and handsoaps.  4 oz Value $14.00

I love this month’s box.  The variety of including tea lights, votives, larger and smaller candles, indoors and outdoors, is really nice and the theme of Blue Lagoon is perfect!   All of the scents are amazing and I cannot just pick one.  I love how Flickerbox finds Artisan candle makers and gives me such a lovely variety of scents and candle types.  This box’s value is  $35.50 and I paid $34.00 for my box, as I am on a month to month subscription.

Flickerbox also has a store, where you purchase candles that were featured in their past boxes.
