Unboxing June 2015 Herbal Bliss Co!

I am really loving Herbal Bliss Co subscription service.   They continue to get better and better and this month is probably the best month ever!    What is Herbal Bliss Co?

Herbal Bliss enjoys reaching out to the diverse herbal suppliers throughout the USA to bring you five unique samples each month. Our sample categories are Aromatherapy, Blissful Body, Culinary, Well Being and a Spotlight product. Each of our suppliers thoughtfully grows, harvest, and packages to bring you delightful experiences into your home. Herbal Bliss is thrilled to introduce you to a multi-faceted experience each month.

  • Passionate About Small Batches ~ Our suppliers are often growing their herbs, creating their recipes, and building their shop fronts on their family farm. You are receiving special, handcrafted gifts from nature without bias to one supplier over another.
  • Discover Herbs ~ Herbal products are one of the fastest growing consumer products. Why is that? People are wary of chemical, laboratory products that have who knows what effect on our body systems. We want to put natural products in our bodies and on our skin & hair. We want to read a label and not only be able to pronounce the ingredients, but know what they are
  • Education ~ Herbs can be intimidating. Herb shops are usually very helpful, but sometimes you may be afraid to ask questions because other customers seem so well informed. Most people know that you should not ingest herbs for ailments without speaking to your doctor first, but there are many other questions about the use of herbs. Herbs are from the earth and have uses beyond what you think of everyday and we are here to help introduce those uses and the makers of these gifts. We bring education for each category.  (source)

Herbal Bliss offers (per box) a month-to-month sub at $25.00, 3 month sub at $22.00, 6 month sub at $20.00 and a yearly sub at $18.00 per box.

Medicine Flower Lemon Verbena Floral Water (lippia citridora)    This is a nice sized bottle to carry around or leave by your nightstand.  This mist is made from 100% organically grown lemon verbena floral water and nothing more!  You can use this as a facial toner, a body mist, a linen spray or room freshening.  This is also food grade, so you can add this to food and drink items.   This has a lovely lemon scent  and is certified organic with no fillers or preservatives. Full Size 2 oz Value $13.95

Description:  Also known as a hydrolate; a floral water is the water obtained from the distillation process of the plant material. The essential oil floats to the top of the water and separates. The remaining floral water contains the natural essence of the plant.Unlike the majority of floral waters on the market, Medicine Flower hydrolates are obtained by a single steam distillation under low pressure and temperature, a proprietary processing mode, resulting in maximum essential oil saturation exceeding 0.1%. The essential oil content of the floral water varies from batch to batch.

That high level, over three times the average market reading, acts as a natural preservative ensuring a shelf life of over two years thus avoiding application of any chemical preservatives commonly used in floral waters. All our floral waters are wildcrafted or certified organically grown. Use for environmental fragrancing, body and linen misting, culinary flavoring and aromatic ambiance.

Pickle Creek Herbs Strawberry Basil Infused Balsamic Vinegar  Ohhhh….I love this box and now I love it even more!  I had to open this up and taste it straight.  This has the most amazing tart strawberry vinegar taste to it and it is SO good.   I can see this going on fruit salads and mixed greens ~ I can also see glazing some fruit with this and grilling or broiling them and then adding the fruit to ice cream!   Pickle Creek Herbs, located in Brighton, Iowa, also suggests that you can reduce this and glaze pork or as a topping to ice cream.  This is SO good.  I love it and I wish it was full sized!!  I really like the culinary products that Herbal Bliss includes in the boxes and this is really just wonderful.  I cannot gush more about it ~ it is that good :)   Yummy yummy and I have to try out the recipe that they included! Deluxe Size 2 oz Value $4.00

Soapernova Soaps Lavender, Pomegranate & Green Tea Bath Soak  Last, but not least, a great item from Armstrong, BC Canada ~ a sea salt bath soak mix infused with lavender buds, green tea leaves and pomegranate essence.  I am first struck by the scent of this product ~ I can smell the pomegranate as the top note and then the dry notes of the green tea and lavender.   The presentation of this product is also beautiful, with the chunky clear salt mixed in with the peachy-pink Himalayan salts, the dried lavender buds, green tea leaves and yellow flower leaves.   It is so pretty and scented wonderfully that I think I might make some sachets just to put in my linens!   This also came with an organza sachet bag that you use for your bathtub – you just fill up the sachet and then tie it up ~ and place in your bath tub.   Once you are done with your bath, you can remove the leaves, rinse out the sachet  and then leave to dry for your next use.  This is a fantastic product and it is from an Etsy shop ~ which makes me happy and I hope Herbal Bliss will feature more Etsy shops in the future🙂   Full Size 8 oz Value $10.00

I just need to show you again how beautiful this bath soak is

Description:  This is a unique blend of Sencha Green tea, the essence of pomegranate and lavender flower. A relaxing blend suitable for anytime of the day. With Dead sea salts, Epsom Salts & Pink Himalayan Salt, which help detoxify your body naturally, and is believed to relieve acne & psoriasis.

These salts may also be effective in balneotherapy of rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, and osteoarthritis. It is an ancient practice and has been used throughout history as a general tonic and for treating many diseases. The minerals are absorbed while soaking, stimulating blood circulation.
