If you have read any of my MaskGenie unboxings, you know that one of the best finds from subscribing to her monthly mask pouch are the Taiwanese Facial Sheet Masks from the Lovemore company. I was first introduced to this brand in the Oriental Beauty Limited Edition I version (ironically) and this has become a quick favorite. The sheet masks are very thin 100% silk which mold better to your the shape of your face and adheres more tightly. I am not the only MaskGenie customer that loves the Lovemore brand ~ due to popular demand, Genie curated a 2nd LE Oriental Beauty pouch, which contains nothing but Lovemore masks! Yes, we love ’em and want more!
Genie unboxed this pouch after it was shipped out, so I knew what was going to be in here. MaskGenie always does unboxing videos, which I think is a great idea ~ you can watch it here.
LE Lovemore Oriental Beauty II MaskGenie revealed!
My pouch is a nice cotton bag with really lovely arts-crafts designs in cornflower blue, burnt orange and black against a cream background. Really a nice item to have to store my masks in!
Rhodiola Anti-Oxidant & Brightening Mask I love brightening masks and I am spoiled with this bag, as there are quite a few of them! This one has rhodiola, elderberry, mulberry and wild yam as the key ingredients. Rhodiola Rosea is also known as the Artic Root and is not related to roses. Origins uses this ingredient in their skincare products and it is an effective anti-wrinkling ingredient and will also help prevent premature wrinkling by helping to produce elastin. It also improves your skin barrier to protect it from sun damage.
Ingredients: Rhodiola Rosea Root Extract, Sambucus Nigra (elderberry) Flower Extract, Butylene Glycol, Morus Alba Root Extract, Water, Dioscorea Villosa (wild yam) root extract, Soluble Collagen, Hyaluronic Acid Oligomer, Glycerin, Hydroxyethyl Urea, Xanthan Gum, Methylparaben, Chlorphenesin, Fragrance cosDNA.com analysis

Yurong San (scattered) Amazing White Mask Sheet This sheet mask gets top marks for the most unknown ingredients known to me. I had to look up what Yurong scattered was and it seems to be a traditional beauty powder that is made up of many herbal ingredients, which explains why the ingredient list is so long. I found Yurong scattered power being sold at Aliexpress, but with no description of the items, but a nice photo. Yurong is a brightening product, so this is another whitening mask with good moisturizing and hydrating ingredients.

Among the Yorong scattered ingredients, there is also aloe vera, pearl barley and loofah extract. I did find a patent paper on Yorong causal ingredients, so I wonder if they are the same thing:
….China has a long history, Chinese medicine theory believes beauty together in the face of pathogenic wind heat toxin can often lead to failure in bold face pale, there are all kinds of records scattered Palace 廷玉容 formula….the dispersing powder compound comprises the following components in percentage by weight: 10-20 percent of liquorice, 10-20 percent of bletilla striata, 10-20 percent of lotus seed, 10-20 percent of atractylodes macrocephaia, 10-20 percent of angelica, 5-10 percent of poria alba and 5-10 percent of lily, and the total flavonoid content is greater than or equal to 10.6 percent in the extract. In this sheet mask, Lovemore states it is made with 9 herbal ingredients.

Black Pearls True Whitening Sheet Mask Ah HA! Another whitening mask, made from black pearls, honeysuckle, oriental fungus (ganoderma), royal jelly and Chinese knotweed (polygonum multiflorum). Pearls have long been used in Asian beauty as they are rich in nutrients: calcium carbonate, proteins, amino acids and they help stimulates cell regeneration, protects against free radical damage and collagen damage. Its composition is similar to arbutin, which helps whiten (brighten) skin tone and contains many anti-oxidants.
Ingredients: Hydrolyzed Pearl, Ganoderma Lucidum (mushroom) extract, royal jelly, polygonum multiflorum extract, locinera caprifolium (honeysuckle) flower extract, ubiquinone, chlorphenesin, Methylparaben, Xanthan Gum, Hydroxyethyl Urea, Glycerin, Hyaluronic Acid Oligomer, Tranexamic acid, Fragrance, Water cosDNA.com analysis
Cubilose Extract Hydrating & Firming Mask Sheet Cubilose is the swiflet bird nest ingredient and this mask also contains aloe vera, royal jelly and pyracantha fortuneana fruit extract, which are the red pome fruit from a Firethorn species of scrub. Swiflet extract has proteins to help keep skin firm, supple and smooth. This also contains platinum extract, which the last time I used a mask with platinum, my face was really noticeably brighter!
Ingredients: hydrolyzed swiflet nest extract, honey extract, propolis extract, royal jelly, pyracantha fortuneana fruit extract, aloe barbadensis leaf juice, colloidal platinum, xanthan gum, hyaluronic acid oligomer, glycerin, hydroxyethyl urea, methylparaben, chlorphenesin, fragrance, water cosDNA.com analysis

Red Pearl Barley Whitening Mask Sheet I have used the Milk & Pearl Barley mask before, so I am pretty excited to get the Red Pearl barley this time around. This is another whitening mask (yeah!!) and contains not only red pearl barley (jobs tears), but mulberry extract and calendula extract. Barley has many skincare benefits, as it contains vitamin C, antioxidants and minerals. It is an anti-inflammatory and creates a protective barrier that keeps the skin from harmful pollutants. It has proven to reduce inflammation and create a barrier to protect the skin from outside pollutants. It also contains selenium, which protects your skin from free radical damage and maintains skin elasticity. Skin elasticity improves skin tone, texture and firmness. The antioxidants will also remove toxins and help reduce the signs of aging. Barley also contains zinc, which helps with healing your skin. The Red Pearl Barley, Bitter Gourd and Bamboo masks all look to be from the “Let’s Start From Here” series that highlights that native ingredients in Taiwan.
Ingredients: cox lacryma-job (jobs tears) seeds/shell extract, morus alba bark (mulberry) extract, calendula officinalis flower extract, hydrolyzed hyaluroic acid, soluable collagen, sea water, sodium hyaluronate, dipropylene glycol, butylene glycol, glycerin, hydroxyethyl urea, xanthan gum, chlorphenesin,2-phenoxyethanol, carbomer, iodopropynyl butylcarbamate, potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate, trethanolanmine, PEG-40 hydrogenated castor oil, phenoxythanol, fragrance, water cosDNA.com analysis
Bitter Gourd Purifying Mask Sheet I don’t think I have had anything made from bitter gourd or bitter melon. I could be wrong, I might have received something, but I don’t remember. Since this is a purifying mask, I am assuming it is for oily skin types, as it has willow bark extract, an astringent and bitter melon/gourd will help keep your skin free from acne, due to its blood purifying properties and also helps with skin infections. Bitter melon/gourd contains vitamin C, a powerful antioxidant, so it helps combat aging by eliminating free radicals.
Ingredients: Momordica charantia (bitter gourd/melon) fruit extract, salix alba (willow) bark extract, peonia albiflora root extract, soluble collagen, hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid, sodium hyaluronate, sea water, chlorphenesin, dipropylene glycol, butylene glycol, xanthan gum, hydroxyethyl urea, glycerin, 2-pheoxyethanol, carbomer, iodopropynyl butylcarbamate, phenoxyethanol, triethanolamine, PEG-40 hydrogenated castor oil, fragrance, water cosDNA.com analysis
Bamboo Liquid Moisturizing Mask Sheet Bamboo contains an essential mineral for keeping skin healthy ~ silica. It is not irritating, so bamboo will soothe your skin along with minimizing wrinkles, due to its antioxidants. It also is reported to help build collagen as well, resulting in younger looking, firmer skin.
Ingredients: bambusa vulgaris extract, chondrus crispus (carrageenan), citric acid, propylene glycol, geranum maculatum extract, hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid, sea water, soluble collagen, sodium hyaluronate, iodopropynyl butylcarbamate, phenoxyethanol, 2-pheoxyethanol, carbomer, chlorphenesisn, xanthan gum, hydroxyethyl urea, glycerin, butylene glycol, dipropylene glycol, PEG-40 hydrogenated castor oil, fragrance, water cosDNA.com analysis
Herba Saussurea Involucrata Revival Mask Genie knows I am allergic to rose products, so she thoughtfully replaced the Rose mask that was to be in this pouch with the Herba Saussurea (Snow Lotus) mask. I have received this one prior in the Oriental Beauty Pouch I, so I am glad to get another one of these. This contains Tianshan Snow Lotus, White Tea, Peony, Pearl and Ginkgo extracts. I will repeat her review that she had on Facebook on this mask, as Snow Lotus has an very interesting history
“Let’s begin with talking about the ingredients of this mask ~ herba saussurea involucrata has always been mentioned in those imperial Chinese dramas being the only thing that can cure deathly poisons or deathly illnesses, and you need to climb high mountains and risk your life to pick it on a cliff ~ it so happens that this rare flower is the major ingredient of this mask, so it had to be something for me to try! It’s a very thin silk mask, although the part for the nose is rather big, it adheres to the face and stays put very well. There is no scent at all. After removing it after 15 minutes (recommended time is 10-15 minutes), there was still a lot of essence left on my face. After massaging in the essence, my face felt super smooth, and the bumps on my forehead felt less bumpy! My pores also appeared to be smaller too!!! I was so amazed by this mask that I kept touching my face the entire night!!! This has now become my favourite mask!!! This brand is well-known for using natural ingredients in their masks. Rating: 9/10” (source)
Ingredients: saussurea lanicep (Tianshan Snow Lotus) extract, camellia sinensis leaf extract, ginkgo biloba extract, butylene glycol, paeonia suffruticosa (peony) root extract, aloe barbadensis leaf juice, mica, hyaluronic acid, glycerin, hydroxyethyl urea, xanthan gum, methylparaben, chlorphenesin, fragrance, water cosDNA.com analysis
Wine Yeast Whitening Mask Sake! Another whitening mask and this time, made with sake (wine yeast) and deep ocean water. I love a good fermented mask ~ any fermented facial product will do! The reason why I really love fermented products is that studies show that fermented ingredients have more concentrated antioxidants than their non-fermented counterparts. This led to an increased anti-wrinkle efficacy and also enhanced whitening (brightening) effect.
Ingredients: butylene glycol, glycerine, chondrus crispus (carrageenan) extract, sea water, xanthan gum, oryza saltiva (rice) lees extract, iodopropynyl butylcarbamate, methylisothiazolinone, ascophyllum nododum extract, citric acid, dipotassium glycyrrhizate, hyaluronic acid oligome, fragrance, water cosDNA.com analysis
Wild Yam Firming Mask Sheet This is a firming mask made with wild yam and wild yam is supposed to have a property similar to progesterone, called diosgenin and it also has estrogen properties. These hormones are very helpful, especially for women who are entering menopause, either peri, pre or post stages. There has been a study that stated that wild yam can help restore the skin barrier in your epidermis, by encouraging the production of keratinocyte cells~ the main cells in our outer layer of skin. It also helps with hyper-pigmentation and can prevent sun spots, based on another study. Whew ~ who knew that skincare was a science lesson! haha I love science so these things make the geek in me happy. So, it does make sense that wild yam will help with firming your skin. This also has a few peptides in here plus Q10 (ubiquinone) which makes this a really good anti-aging facial mask. The pearl extracts in here also contribute to a brighter skin tone as well.
Ingredients: butylene glycol, glycerine, sea water, xanthan gum, iodopropynyl butylcarbamate, methylisothiazolinone, acetyl hexapeptide-8, hydrolyzed pearl, palmitoyl pentapeptide-4, allantoin, ubiquinone, hyaluronic acid oligome, panax ginseng root extract, dioscorea villosa (wild yam) root extract, fragrance, water cosDNA.com analysis

Okay, seriously ~ Genie OUTDID herself on this one! I love this pouch so much ~ I didn’t think she could improve from the original Oriental Beauty pouch, but she did! I wish Lovemore masks were more easily found outside of Hong Kong and Taiwan, but they aren’t ~ at least not here in the USA. This is a great pouch with lots of new and exciting masks to try ~ the Yurong scattered sounds so neat! I can’t wait to try the red pearl barley, bitter gourd and wild yam masks too ~ all of them, in fact🙂
Lovemore facial sheet masks are not that expensive ~ they range from $1.00 to $1.75, but they are damn well
near impossible to get here in the States, so I am happy to get 10 unique facial sheet masks from this brand. I hope MaskGenie will continue to put Lovemore in their monthly bags, as there are still a few out there that I haven’t tried! This limited edition pouch was $26.50, a little bit higher in price than MaskGenie’s monthly bag, but the curation, plus the nice cotton bag that it came in, made it well worth the money. This pouch is currently sold out, but Genie states she will restock it soon, so subscribe to her MaskGenie FB page to get the latest news.
If you are interested in the monthly subscription service, MaskGenie (click here) does have it! The owner lives in Hong Kong and she (Genie) tries out the masks and determines which ones she feels are worthy for her customers to try. Shipping is extremely fast ~ within a week, I get my pouch. You can order the 10 mask pouch for $22.00 or the 5 mask pouch for $12.00 and that includes shipping and she just doesn’t ship to the USA ~ MaskGenie ships all over the world.
Do you subscribe to MaskGenie? Did you purchase the Limited Edition pouch? What masks interest you the most from this LE?
