Unboxing Memebox Easter Eggs

Last week, Memebox did an Easter Egg hunt on their website ~ these are mystery products that are worth up to 50% more than what you purchased them for.   I purchased 4 eggs ~ Multi Vertical Striped at $5.00, White Flower Blue at $6.00, Golden Egg at $20.00 and Green Dotted at $5.00.  Obviously, the eggs aren’t included!

So, what did I get?

Dermakey She’s Second Aurora Skin Elixir Protection  This is my Golden Egg item.   When this sold at Memebox International, they had a retail price of  $104.00 on this but I purchased it on sale for $21.00 ~ Memebox still has this item, but they are now  but is currently selling for $100.00 ~ when .  I own this already and I haven’t even used it yet!   However, I did translate the ingredients and I think I am going to start using it in my skin care routine, as it sounds really nice ~ it has green tea extract, fermented lotus extract,Vitamin E, bentaine and allantoin.  I don’t know if you can see it in the photo, but this serum is opalescent and it is beautiful to look at.   Oryzanol is rice bran oil, which has potent antioxidant properties and it also has sodium hyaluronate in it, not to be confused with hyaluronate acid ~ SH is more potent than HA – it has more hydrating properties than HA and it will result in softer skin, smooth and a reduction in wrinkles;  pumped up skin.      This is a watery serum, so you would use it after a toner.  I paid $20.00 for this item and Memebox sells it for $100.00  Full Size 50 mL

This youtube shows how opalescent the serum is

Product Description: This ampoule serum promotes the skin’s brightness by helping the skin look more even and fair. Upon application, this ampoule serum immediately leaves a gleamy finish which makes the skin look plumper and firmer

Skinfood Cherry Milk Soft Hand Essence  Oh wow.  I just got this in my Berrylicious Mystery Box. I mean, I like it, but I JUST got one!   I believe this is my $6.00 egg, as Memebox retailed it in the Berry box for $10.00.  I will repeat what I wrote in that post here. This is a lovely light weight lotion that smells like cherries ~ not over powering, but very soft.   I have this at work,  and my other co-workers are coming in my office just to use this!   Cherry extracts contain Vitamin C, beta-carotene and anti-oxidants to help brighten your skin tone, plus milk proteins and mineral oil, which keep your hands smooth and hydrated, along with Vitamin E.   It is not a heavy duty hand cream, but it works well for normal usage and if you hands just need additional moisturizing.   Full Size 150 mL Value $10.00

Junsung Basics Liquid Eyeliner #01 Black Stiletto  This is one of Memebox’s collaboration brands with Korean model Junsung.   I love liquid eyeliners and I do not mind getting a nice black liquid liner that has a precision felt tip.  This is very black and once it dries, it doesn’t move!  Very pleased to have this and I love the sleek packaging.  This is one of my $5.00 eggs, as Memebox retails this for $10.00 at their site.

SoYoung Lovely Stick Shadow #03 Lovely Deep Bronze  This is another Memebox brand, with SoYoung, who is a Korean youtuber.  I had been looking at these stick shadows for a while, and this would have been the color I would have chosen.  This is a lovely deep chocolate brown with just a hint of shimmer in it.  I was pleased to find out that once it sets, it doesn’t move or budge.  I use this as an eyeliner, but as a thick line.  Then I take the Junsung Liquid Eyeliner and place a thin line over it.   This is the other $5.00 egg, as Memebox retails the stick shadow for $10.00

Product Description: Deep brown cream shadow with subtle gold pearl encased in luxurious rose gold packaging. Formulated with argan oil, jojoba seed oil, and rose hip oil for effortless application that dries in as little a 10 seconds and stays resistant against sweat and water.

Memebox also sent me a couple of samples

I honestly don’t care about the little dabs of BB cream, but the Skinfood Black Sugar Honey Wash Off Mask is one sample I am keen to try ~ I love the other two Black Sugar scrubs (original and strawberry)  that I have from them, but I haven’t tried this one.

Product Description: A skin-softening exfoliating mask containing Brazilian black sugar and moisturizing honey to create soft, moisturized, glowing skin.  This product will also help decrease the amount of black and white heads for a brighter and cleaner complexion. An exfoliating skin-softening mask that will create smooth, soft and radiant complexion with the ability to help decrease white and black heads.

How To Use:  After washing, apply desired amount onto face (avoid eye & mouth areas)  Mix with water or toner to reduce skin irritation, and massage Wait 10-15 mins, then wash off with warm water

How do I feel about my Memebox Easter Eggs? Well, it is rare that I am more excited over the makeup items than skincare, but that is what happened here.  Maybe that will change when I start using the Dermakey product ~ it is just that I already own it and for some reason, have been hoarding it ~ probably due to the price.  So, now I have two, and there is no reason to hoard it at this point.  I also am more excited over my Skinfood sample pack too!   I knew it was a gamble to purchase the Mystery Eggs and that I may not like what I received, but that is the lure of a “mystery”!

Did you purchase any of Memebox’s Mystery Eggs?  What did you get and did you think it worth it?
