Unboxing Memebox Seeds & Flowers

This  was the last international box I purchased from Memebox ~ It might have been the last international box that was on sale, too.  This one is Seeds & Flowers and I was hoping for some interesting products in here and not a box full of rose items! haha

I have a whole section in my blog,  devoted to Memebox, so if you want to know more, check out the Memebox category.

Information Card

As these products are unknown to me and perhaps even to my readers, I am posting a description of the product under my thoughts for every product.  Normally, I just do a snippet or if it is a product that doesn’t really need a description, I won’t post it.  But for the purposes of my Memeboxes, I will make sure I find the appropriate description, usage and ingredient list if I can find it.   The descriptions will be from the webpage that is linked to the product name.  Not all of these products are sold in the Memebox Shop, so I had to look for them on various sites.   I really had a hard time finding these products, by the way, so don’t be thrown off by the Korean websites that are linked here!

Yadah Pure Green Emulsion
I like Yadah skincare products.  All of their skincare items contain Opuntia Ficus Indica (prickly pear) extract, which is known for its firming and skin smoothing properties as well as protecting from UV radiation.   This emulsion contains rosemary, chamomile, royal jelly, prickly pear, sage, lotus and thyme.   It is a lightweight and odorless emulsion and I like how smoothly it applies, as well as how non-greasy and non-sticky it feels on my skin.  This is a great emulsion to use in the warmer months.  It states that this is for dry and normal skin types, but I feel I can use it on my oily skin, as it is so lightweight.   This emulsion is also a 12 non-added system: No parabens, mineral oil, animal material, benzophenone, talc, PABA, chlorphenesis, alcohol denat, imidazolidinyl urea, BHT, artificial colorant, triethanolamine.   Full Size 120 mL Value $21.00

eChoice Perfume Body Mist in Dear Iris    This is a moisturizing body mist which has the scent of Iris flowers and it supposedly has a “rose” middle note, but I only smell iris and bergamot.   I don’t believe I have received anything from Memebox in the Iris scent before and that is a nice surprise! I know not everyone likes body mists, but I do enjoy them.   Full Size 120 mL Value $4.00

Sevendrops Moringa Light Sunblock SPF 50+/PA+++ What Memebox wouldn’t be complete without a sunscreen!  haha Well, here it is….another sunscreen product.   I have so many now and I really dislike sunscreen products because they are thick and make me break out.  Plus, after all of the products I just put on my face, I am going to seal it in with sunscreen?  Anyway, rant over.   This is supposed to be an ultra-lightweight sunscreen, so I will have to try it out and see how it works.   Moringa seed extract helps hydrated and repair your skin, and was a beauty essential to ancient kinds and queens (according to the MemeCard).  It also contains adenosine ~  which helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles ~ and   niacinamide ~ to help reduce hyper-pigmentation, reduce wrinkles and acne.  This sunscreen is supposed to be sheer, silky in texture, and has a soft matte finish.    Full Size 50 g Value $38.00

KSkin Rose Moisture & Nutrition Facial Cream  Oh boy.  Here is the dreaded rose product.   I will be gifting this away as I cannot use rose in my skincare, at least not one where it is a featured ingredient  It also contains premium herb extracts, of which I cannot find a translation for.  I have an image of the key ingredients, some I recognize, like argan spinosa kernel oil, hyaluronic acid, coconut and lotus flower.   Full Size 100 mL Value $8.00

Enesti Rosehip Oil Foaming Cleanser  I know lots of folks don’t like Enesti and yes, it does have a high pH factor, but I do like these cleansers.   I guess because I do put on serums and moisturizers, I am not so worried about a slighter higher pH level in my cleansers, HOWEVER if you have sensitive skin or dry skin, you should avoid foaming cleansers for the most part, unless you are certain that its pH level is within the 5 to 6 range.  This cleanser has both rosehip oil and rosehip fruit extract.  I can use rosehip, as that is the seed and not the flower.  This is also part of the hot spa water line from Suanbo Spa Hot Springs (수안보온천).   Full Size 120 mL Value $15.00

Unboxing Beauty’s Seeds & Flower Score:  Seeds=10/10 (Rosehip)

I have mixed feelings about this box.   There is really only one product in here I am excited to use ~ the Yadah Pure Green Emulsion.  Memebox did stick to a Seeds & Flowers theme, although I feel that the Flowers was more prominent than the Seeds.   I would have loved some gokmul products and more seed items than florals ~ almonds was in the photo, so I had been hoping for some almond butter items.   The rose item was expected, but to have both a sunblock and a body mist in here, that didn’t make this box exciting for me.  I wish they would have put some fermented seed items in here, like a Goodal or Whamisa product (which Memebox used to offer and send to their customers), just as a final sendoff.   This wasn’t a horrible box by any means, but it is a bit lackluster ~  that said, it is a solid box that followed the theme properly.    All of the items, except the rose cream, will be used.   I paid $25.00 + $6.99 shipping, for a total of  $31.99 and  I received a MemeValue  of $88.00

  1. Hi, I have also ordered this box, but I didn’t receive it yet. Thank you for the spoiler. 🙂
Actually, I don’t like it so much. I’m not using mists and sunblocks, so they’re pretty useless for me. Also I’m not sure about the rose cream. I was expecting for more products including healthy seeds but not roses and flowers.

  2. Thanks for your review! I like forming my own opinion, and then reading other people’s takes. It’s interesting to see where I agree and disagree with people who have more experience in the beauty world than I do. 🙂

I really liked this box, but I’m still new to Korean beauty, so I didn’t have the expectations that you did. I used the mask last night, and I’m probably going to buy more; it smelled really nice, and I felt hydrated and relaxed after I used it.

I was happy with the inclusion of sunscreen, but I haven’t bought a lot of memeboxes before. I hate most of the skin care products containing sunscreen that we can get here in the US. Most are greasy or smell like sunscreen, or both. This moringa seed one has been nice, so far – very little odor, extremely light weight, and a nice, non-greasy finish. I’m a happy customer

  3. Hmm…I’m on the fence with this one too. I feel like it’s not a terrible box curation-wise, but the perfume is just a bummer product for me- I just want a box full of skincare LOL 😉 Also you know I share your Rose issues, although for me it’s simply because I hate the scent of rose in skincare, so I don’t think I would have liked that product either. The essence is the only thing I would keep here aside from the sheet mask, so it’s not a super successful box from my standpoint. Although I did try a sample of that sunscreen and I really, really liked it!

  4. I really liked your review! Thank you for putting the ingredient list of the products! I do think this box was a little lackluster like you said they should have put some sort of Almond product since it was in the picture. #kbeautybloghop

  5. I missed out on this box but managed to get hold of a Yadah emulsion that was on sale in the UK group! I jumped at it as soon as I saw it, since I had looked into the company when researching their bubble cleanser and have very oily skin. The rest of the box … meh. I’m like Rachel, as well, in that I detest the smell of Rose … that would not have been good for me! Cx

  6. I missed out on this box, but am now kind of wishing I’d purchased it. Rose products have worked well for me this winter. Of course, warmer weather is coming, which means my skin will shift from super dry to oily and annoying! #kbeautybloghop

  7. I too have mixed feelings about this box. Although I did not purchase it, I’m a little jelly of the Yadah emulsion and will have to hunt one down. Please let us know how well it works, as I would love to read your thoughts on it! #kbeautybloghop
