For those who love K-beauty and Asian skincare, you are already familiar with the ingredients that I am about to mention. However, many people in the Western countries aren’t aware of these ingredients ~ when I mention snail or bee venom to my family, friends and co-workers, they look at me as if I have horns growing out of my head! haha
What I would love to see as a trend in 2015 here in the USA and other countries are products that contain these ingredients. People still have an aversion to snail slime ;) but I hope that these ingredients will be received with enthusiasm
Last year, bee venom got some publicity when the some of ladies in the British Royal Family let it be known that their secret to fantastic skin was using a cream made with Bee Venom. I hope this trend takes off ~ Bee Venom products are supposed to be nature’s “Botox” and this ingredient reacts to the skin by “fooling” it into thinking that you have been stung. Your body then will redirect blood to the area where the product was applied and it will produce more collagen and elastin, making your skin look firmer and healthier.
According to articles, the bee is not harmed when extracting the venom, but it can be still upsetting to people, so there is another item in the venom world that is synthetic ~ Syn-ake venom. This is a peptide that mimics the venom of the poisonous Temple Viper and it helps temporarily reduce the appearance of deep wrinkles and lines, by working in a similar manner to Botox.
I personally use Benton Snail Bee High Content Essence, which has been a Holy Grail item for me. This product has helped with my hyper-pigmentation, reduced the appearance of fine lines, controlled the oil in my skin and also helped with healing and preventing acne. I also have Benton Snail Bee High Content Skin and Steam Cream and all three of these items can be purchased at Beauteque.com I also have used other Bee Venom and Sny-ake products, from Mask House Celebrity Bee Tox Elite Eye Serum, Tosowoong Syn-ake products, Dr MJ Bee Tox Control Cream and Shara Shara Bee Tox Spot Cream, just to name a few.

I had no idea that fermented extracts would be one of the ingredients that I love so much and hope to see it soar in popularity in 2015. I was introduced to these wonderful ingredients in a product called Purebess Galactomyces 100% essence, which is a lovely small bottle, filled with fermented goodies. I am in love with Galactomyces, Saccharomyces and Lactobacillus ~ in fact, any fermented extract! These extracts are very rich in vitamins, amino acids and minerals and helps brighten your skin tone, as well as make it more elastic. Fermented extracts also help remove dead skin cells, cleanse your pores and also reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
I have personally used and also have found some additional HG items in the following products: Goodal Waterest Tone Up First Essence (totally in love with this item), Pure Bess Galactomyces 100%, Purebess Galatomyces 80 Eye Cream, Secret Key Snail + EGF Repairing Eye Cream, Cellbydate The Real Galacto Zero Essence, Primary Raw DoYou Soy Facial Cream as well as many others ~ fermented extracts are very popular in K-Beauty skincare products! I have my eye out on the Innisfree Soy Bean line, especially the Innisfree Soy Bean Firming Skin Lotion which is an anti-wrinkling and whitening product. Whitening doesn’t mean bleaching ~ it just means helping reduce and eliminate hyper-pigmentation. The Face Shop Smim line is also made with fermented extracts, Tosowoong’s Time Shift series uses black yeast fermented extracts and Whamisa is a company dedicated to fermented seed extracts.
Fermented products usually are marked as ferment filtrate ~ if you see this ingredient in your skincare, just know that you have something special and enjoy!
So…these are my 2 top trends that I would love to see in 2015. Do you agree? What other trends do you want for skincare/beauty to appear in the USA/Western Countries that are popular in K-Beauty/Asian Skincare, but not here? Let me know in the comments below ~I would love to hear from you🙂
