Memebox Night Care Review

The first official release for 2015 from Memebox is the Night Care box and it is here for me to review 🙂    I didn’t purchase this right away, I actually waited until the next day after it was released (haha) after 2 spoilers were given.  The spoilers were items that I was keenly interested in

Once fricking again, Memebox did this horrible electronic card thing ~ after rubymoon at makeuptalk.com came up with the idea of making them into pdf’s to print out nicely for the Winter Essentials Masks, I created my own version

As these products are unknown to me and perhaps even to my readers, I am posting a description of the product under my thoughts for every product.  Normally, I just do a snippet or if it is a product that doesn’t really need a description, I won’t post it.  But for the purposes of my Memeboxes, I will make sure I find the appropriate description, usage and ingredient list if I can find it.   The descriptions will be from the webpage that is linked to the product name.  Not all of these products are sold in the Memebox Shop, so I had to look for them on various sites.   I really had a hard time finding these products, by the way, so don’t be thrown off by the Korean websites that are linked here!

 

Heart Face Ultra Pore Care Sleeping Pack   This item was one of the two spoilers and I really wanted to try this one. This is a sleeping pack that helps skin types like myself (oily) and I am really excited to try it out.  It contains galactomyces, green tea, hyaluronic acid, betaine and Chinese sumac, an ingredient I haven’t seen before in my skin care products!    This is a gel-cream and is not sticky, absorbs quickly and doesn’t have a strong scent at all.   Can I also just say how beautiful the logo is on this product?  I love the tree with the gold scrolling and pink/rose/red shades.  Full Size 100 mL Value $14.00

Mypu Black Pearl & Gold Velvet Gel Eye Patch  This was the other spoiler and I love eye patches, especially gel types.  These eye patches have collagen, eucalyptus, seaweed, tea tree, pomegranate, green tea, citrus unshiu peel extracts as well as hyaluronic acid, gold and black pearl extracts, which are high in amino acids and minerals to help with keeping skin clear.  However, these have ROSE in it.  NOOOOOO……..  The rose in far, far, far down in the list of ingredients, so I will slap one of these on my arm and see what occurs.   That said, this product is filled with essence ~ I had to be very careful, because the lip was dripping with it.   I hope these will be okay to use for me, because they do seem very hydrating and moisturizing and to help with reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and dark circles.  The eye patch container even comes with a tweezer so you can use them to pick up your gel patches.   The patches themselves are bio-degradable, so apparently you can “dissolve” them in warm water and use this “water” as well!    Full Size  1.1g X 60ea  Value $30.00

Avec Moi Mask 4 Set  I am really happy that Memebox put these in their night care box!  I love foot and hand masks, so those will be used quickly.  I have used nail packs before, but never really saw any improvement from using them, unlike foot and hand masks.  I love how the big toe and thumbs on the foot, hand and nail pack have a smiley 🙂    Full Size  8g + 16g + 16g + 4.5g Value $33.00

Shea Butter Special Care Foot Mask  I love a good foot mask and this one has a lot of nice ingredients in it, including the aforementioned shea butter, royal jelly, mints and tea tree, plus lavender, rosemary and thyme extracts.  and Full Size 16 g

Camellia Special Care Hand Mask  I’ve had cherry blossom hand care masks, but I do not believe I have had one made from camellia extracts.  Or potato pulp!    Pretty excited to try this one out.  Full Size 16 g

Intensive Nail Pack   These are made from cacao and milk proteins, honey and macadamia oil  I might just give this a try, especially since I have to go out and shovel myself out of snowmageddon.  My hands and nails will be pretty beat up.  It is still a blizzard outside and I looked out my window and groaned at the snow… Full Size 4.5 g

D’Ran Wonder Lifting Eye Cream  I like D’Ran products, with the exception of the serum in the Oriental Medicine box as its scent was too much for me on my face, and I am excited to have another eye product from them.   I have several eye creams currently open so I will save this one for later.  This has EGF (to help smooth out skin), arbutin and argan oil to help with whitening, adensoin to reduce wrinkles and firm skin, along with a host of other good ingredients, like beta glucan ~ from the mushroom extract, fermented green tea extract for skin conditioning,  macadamia seed oil, jojoba seed oil and meadowfoam seed oil for moisturizing and conditioning.    Full Size 25g Value $35.00

Tosowoong Natural Pure Snail Essence   My buddy, Tosowoong!  I love Tosowoong products and it seems that Memebox does too!  I have quite the collection of their products ~ from Sny-ake, Rosehip, Tea Tree, Bee Venom lines and now I have a Snail item!  I find Tosowoong products to be very effective and also inexpensive.  This essence is super moisturizing ~ I put some on my hand and my skin was so soft and supple afterwards.  Tosowoong Snail Essence has no strong scent and contains Aronia Melanocarpa (black chockcherry) fruit extract ~ packed with antioxidants to fight off free radical skin cell damage, Betula Alba Leaf (birch tree) Water ~ an anti-inflammatory, astringent, and packed with Vitamins B1, B2, A, C and E to work as an anti-oxidant and rh-Oligopeptide-1 (EFG) as well as 20% snail secretion.   This is also a brightening treatment, so I am pretty excited to try this out as I am into brightening products right now, due to sun damage spots.   Full Size 60mL Value $24.00

SWITCH PATCH Elephant 3-Step! Black Head Nose Pack   Memebox and their concern about my pores!  Every other box, it seems, I get something for my pores as Memebox is obsessed with them!  haha  I do think the packaging is cute ~ reminds me of Horton from “Horton Hears a Who” and this is at least just a one time use pore pack, with 3 steps that looks like it takes almost an hour to do!  I love the graphic with the elephant sucking up my dirt and oil from my nose ~ haha  Full Size: 7g  Value: $3.00

Product Description: This is an easy 3-step nose pack for opening up, unclogging, and tightening back your pores for treating excess blackheads on the nose. The step 1 is a cotton mask sheet enriched with witch hazel water, lemon balm extracts, and grapefruit extracts and works to melt and extract the excess blackhead and sebum ~ that is the open your pores heating mask.  . The step 2 is a peel-off type nose pack made from lemon extracts and aloe vera leaf water ~ the peel off blackhead out pack. Lastly, the step 3 bio-cellulose mask sheet stretches out 8cm and effectively soothes and firms back the enlarged pores with a gentle blend of lavender, chamomile, and eucalyptus extracts ~ the closing pore cooling mask.

How to use: Place the step 1 sheet over clean nose and remove after 15~20 minutes. Wet nose with a little bit of water and place the step 2 sheet over. Remove after 10~15 minutes. Then again place the step 3 sheet over nose and remove after 5~10 minutes.

I really like this Night Care box.  This is truly a box for night time pampering, as the nose pack item takes a long time and you can’t be doing that in the morning!   Some of the items, like the eye cream and snail essence can be doubled up for morning skin care as well.   For the first release of 2015, Memebox did a great job.  Alas, their other offerings in the box world didn’t tempt me like Night Care.   I wish, I wish, I wish Memebox would continue with their Global series and bundle them like they used to do.  No more Naked Boxes or these new USA shop boxes, that are obscenely overpriced.   For full disclosure, I did purchase the USA shop box, to compare and review it for my readers.  That review is coming up next.
