Memebox Superbox #80 Pumpkin Pie Cosmetics Review

I have a wonderful Pumpkin Purifying Enzyme Peel by Naturopathic.  I have also tried Michael Todd’s Pumpkin Mask as well, so I happen to like pumpkin products as they great for exfoliating and contain antioxidants.   Memebox came out with a Pumpkin Pie Box several months ago, and it wasn’t due to ship out in December ~ which for an American, it is strange, as Pumpkin Pie is traditionally served at Thanksgiving, not Christmas or New Year’s!   I just received it, as it went snail mail ~ Let’s see what I got!

Informational Card

As these products are unknown to me and perhaps even to my readers, I am posting a description of the product under my thoughts for every product.  Normally, I just do a snippet or if it is a product that doesn’t really need a description, I won’t post it.  But for the purposes of my Memeboxes, I will make sure I find the appropriate description, usage and ingredient list if I can find it.   The descriptions will be from the webpage that is linked to the product name.  Not all of these products are sold in the Memebox Shop, so I had to look for them on various sites.   I really had a hard time finding these products, by the way, so don’t be thrown off by the Korean websites that are linked here!

Dearberry Coco’s Secret Recipe Pumpkin  There isn’t a lot of information on this product, even on the Dearberry website.  I do have to mention that the packaging is adorable ~ the cute kitty holding a pumpkin is just so sweet.  This is a brightening mask pack, with a soft, creamy texture ~ almost dough-like ~ made from pumpkin.  Alas, there is no pumpkin scent ~ this is more of a talc scent ~  but it does have a nice light orange squashy color to it.   This pumpkin mask is full of beta carotenes and vitamins, as pumpkin is chock full of those anti-aging proprieties, full of antioxidant that help combat free radicals and help brighten and even the skin tone.  Beta carotene also increases cell turnover, which helps with restoring suppleness and adds a glow to your skin.    After applying this mask, of which I do not need a lot of product ~ a little goes a long way ~ it does dry down to a powdery-looking finish, but it isn’t a powder ~ it still is doughy even when it looks “dry”.  I just rinse off the mask after 10 minutes.    I feel this mask also helps control oil as well and improves the appearance of dull skin.  Dearberry makes several other Coco’s Secret Recipe masks in Honey (complexion booster), Yam (moisturizing & nourishing), Potato (moisturizing & soothing) and Milk (keratin care).  I would love to try out the Yam and Potato.   If anyone finds out the ingredient list for this product, please comment below!  I would love to know what is in this product.  Unboxing Beauty’s Check List Pumpkin Pie Recipe Ingredients: Pumpkin 10/10 Full Size 100 mL Value $16.00

Product Description:  This pumpkin wash-off pack is made from real pumpkin extracts and has a spongy paste-like texture that smoothly adheres to the skin.  Pumpkin carries high concentrates of vitamins and beta-carotene which deeply replenishes dry skin and clarifies and brightens up dull, uneven complexions.

How To Use: Spread the pack evenly over cleansed fact, avoiding eyes and mouth.  Rinse off with lukewarm water after 5-10 minutes.  Use 2-3 times a week.

  • Top:  Freshly applied pumpkin pack
  • Bottom: After 10 minutes

insobeau Multi-Complex V-Line Repair Sleeping Mask   This is an eggy mask!   insobeau’s Multi-Complex Sleeping Mask claims that it will smooth out wrinkles, brighten and even out the skin tone, remove dullness and dark sun spots, all while nourishing, firming and hydrating your skin and tightening your pores.   A miracle mask!   This contains egg yolk extract, argan oil, peptides, adenosine and collagen.  It does not contain any alcohol (yeah!), parabens, mineral oils or artificial colors.   This has a very light generic unoffensive-I-cannot-place-it scent and the texture of a custard or flan, firm but wobbly ~ looks like it as well ~ I got hungry for some custard while I was reviewing this!    It absorbs quickly once I massage it into my skin and is not sticky.  The lid of this jar is like a mirror ~ you can hold it up to your face while using it to help apply your sleeping mask ~ haha  Alas, this has to be used by June 16th, 2015….This will have to go into my rotation of sleeping masks quickly!   This is another product where I do not have the full list of ingredients and cannot find them online.    Unboxing Beauty’s Check List Pumpkin Pie Recipe Ingredients:  Eggs 10/10 Full Size 80 mL Value $42.00

Product Description:  This Multi Complex V-Line Repair Sleeping Mask contains rich nutrients and protein from its egg complex.  The buttery yellow formula resembling egg yolk melts quickly into skin with minimal stickiness to revitalize and firm dry, tired skin overnight.   A blend of adenosine, peptide, argan oil, albutin and ceramide delivers intense moisture resurge and skin brightening effect as well.

Tonymoly Gold Black Sugar Mask  I received this scrub in my Scrub 2 box and I haven’t gotten to it yet, because I am still working thru my Skinfood version.  This mask is made from black sugar, gold, honey and full of minerals and vitamins.   Unboxing Beauty’s Check List Pumpkin Pie Recipe Ingredients:  Sugar  10/10  Full Size 100 mL Value $7.00

Product Description: Tony Moly Gold Black Sugar Mask contains black sugar and gold power to gently exfoliate dead skin cells. It provides nutrition deep into the skin and at the same time provides intense moisture, leaving the skin fair, luminous and silky to the touch.

Ingredients:  black sugar extract, glycerin, butylene glycol, mineral oil, caramel color, glyceryl stearate & PEG-100 stearate, sorbitan stearate, beeswax, copernicia cerifera (carnauba) wax, sorbitan sesquioleate,  polysorbate 60, dimethicone, honey extract,  gold ( CI 77480), phenoxyethanol & methylparaben, ethylparaben & butylparaben & propylparaben & isobutylparaben analysis

Enesti Day to Day Rice & Milk Foam Cleansing   I have received a similar product in my Milk Box and at first, I thought these were the same item, only repackaged.  They aren’t ~ the ingredient list is slightly different and Enesti does sell them as separate items.   I have a friend who loves these Rice & Milk cleansers, so I will be sending this to her, as she would appreciate this more than I.  I have oily skin, and I find that this type of cleanser doesn’t really do much for me.  I think that this foam cleanser is one of the few foam cleansers out there that might be better suited for drier skin.    This cleanser leaves your face feeling moist and supple without drying out your skin.   Unboxing Beauty’s Check List Pumpkin Pie Recipe Ingredients: Milk 10/10  Full Size 160 mL Value $14.00

Product Description: Enriched with abundant milk protein and rice extracts, this Day to Day Foam Cleanser gently cleanse away all makeup residues and skin impurities while also clarifying uneven skin tone for a brighter, more youthful complexion.

Ingredients:  purified water, glycerin, stearic acid, myristic acid, lauric acid, potassium hydroxide,  cocamidopropyl betaine, glyceryl stearate /PEG-100 stearate, beeswax,  cocamide DEA, propylene glycol, oryza sativa (rice) extract, fragrance, hydroxyethylcellulose,  allantoin, betaine, phenoxyethanol, methylparaben, ethylparaben, butylparaben, propylparaben analysis

Here are the ingredients in Korean for the Day to Day version, according to the Enesti website

Many Memefans were scared of this box because they felt orange makeup would be included.  This box was marketed as  ingredients for a pumpkin pie, so even though this only has one pumpkin item in it, the rest of the box does follow the theme properly ~ eggs, lemon zest, brown sugar and milk.    There are “repeats” in this box or very similar repeats ~ the hand cream, sugar scrub and foam cleanser ~ but if you are going to have repeats, those are good ones to have a repeat on.    However, because of that, this box was not terribly exciting for me, as I was familiar with 3 out of the 5 items.   I was hoping for some facial sheet masks with pumpkin ~ several brands make them ~ and Too Cool For School Pumpkin sleeping pack.    That said, I will use all of these products, except the foam cleanser, and this is a solid box, although unimaginative.  I really wish I could get my hands on the ingredients on the Dearberry Coco’s Secret Recipe ~ Pumpkin and insobeau Multi Complex V-Line Repair Sleeping Mask.   If anyone finds the full ingredient lists, please let me know!  I would greatly appreciate it 🙂

I received a MemeValue ** of $84.00.  ** What is MemeValue?  It is my term to describe the value that Memebox puts on the products, which can be very over inflated.  You can usually find these products at a lesser cost, so I do suggest researching first if you wish to purchase them.

  1. So far, this has been my favorite Meme box (I’ve only gotten 6), because I can use everything in it. There’s always at least one thing in a box that doesn’t work for me (the wrong color make up, or in my WTF box, his and her… um… private part masks!
