Memebox Superbox #79 Oh! My Lips Review

I debated about getting this box.  I ordered it, then cancelled it and then a day after I cancelled it, I ordered it again.   I really wanted the item that Memebox posted as a spoiler as I received one in my  Citrus Care box and I love that product line. This box didn’t sell out until after it was released, and reviews started to go up ~ I think people were afraid of getting a bunch of neon pink and orange lipsticks!!  I purchased this box in hopes of getting some good lip balms, scrubs, patches and maybe a lip product ~ just in time for the winter season.   Let’s see what I got🙂

Informational Card

As these products are unknown to me and perhaps even to my readers, I am posting a description of the product under my thoughts for every product.  Normally, I just do a snippet or if it is a product that doesn’t really need a description, I won’t post it.  But for the purposes of my Memeboxes, I will make sure I find the appropriate description, usage and ingredient list if I can find it.   The descriptions will be from the webpage that is linked to the product name.  Not all of these products are sold in the Memebox Shop, so I had to look for them on various sites.   I really had a hard time finding these products, by the way, so don’t be thrown off by the Korean websites that are linked here!

Vivito Painting Sweet Lip Balm in 02 Berry Farm  This was the spoiler and I had received the Orange Farm in my Citrus Care box and I love it!  This is a firm jelly balm that smells like fresh berries and gives my lips a nice tint of pink-red.  The more I apply, the darker the tint, so be careful with it or as Brad @ Facebook Group MemeAddicts quipped, you will have candy yum-yum lips!   It is made with blackberry, orange peel, grape and cacao seed butter, among other natural ingredients.   I love the tin case as well ~ the lid screws on, so it does stay secure and will not just pop off.  Full Size 12 g Value $24.00

Lassie’el Kiss Me! Glam Up! Lipstick  These are lipstick patches and they aren’t a one-time use item, like a lip tattoo.   Interesting concept ~ I know that many companies do these types of lip patches for samples so it is unusual to see it marketed on a mass scale.   There are 6 lipstick patches and the colors are Lucid Orange, Lovely Pink, Oriental Red, Natural Coral, Vintage Pink and Creamy Nude.  The ONE color I was actually excited to try as it looked so pretty on the website, Oriental Red ~ was missing!  And I got TWO Lucid Oranges instead :(    I haven’t tried these yet, but I most likely will start with the Creamy Nude first.   The Natural Coral actually looks like a neutral shade, so that is another one I will try out.  Since I received 2 lucid oranges and I am not a fan of orange to begin with, I am going to show you how the concept works and swatch that color.     6 lipstick patches Value $6.00

Ingredients: diisostearyl malate, polyglyceryl-2 triisostearate, triethylhexanoin, caprylic/capric triglyceride, ceresin, dipentaerythrityl hexahydroxystearate/hexastearate/hexamacadamia ternifoliarosinate, phytosteryl isostearyl dimer dilinoleate, petrolatum, ozokerite, euphorbia cerifera (candelilla) wax, polyethylene, bis-diglyceryl polyacyladipate-2,polybutene, octyldodecanol, hydrogenated vegatable oil, ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate, disteardimonium hectorite, tocopheryl acetate, macadamia ternifolia seed oil, mangifera indica (mango) seed butter, simmondsia chinensis (jojoba) seed oil, butylparaben, propylene carbonate, BHT, calcuim sodium borosilicate, tin oxide, synthetic fluorphlogopite, titanium dioxide, iron oxides (CI 77492), red 6 lake (CI 15850:1), red 27 lake (CI 45410:1) red 33 lake (CI 17200), red 40 lake (CI 16035), iron oxides (CI 77499), yellow 5 lake (CI 19140), yellow 6 lake (CI 15985), mica, flavor

Vintage Pink, Lucid Orange, Natural Coral, another Lucid Orange, Creamy Nude, Lovely Pink

Because I am bored and need something to do…I took these photos just for you!   The patch has a little flap that keeps the covering in place.  Lift the top cover up and there is your lipstick!   I used a lip brush as this can get messy.  I am not going to press these to my lips as my lips aren’t that big and I don’t need a clown face.   After applying, you just tuck the top cover edge back down into the flap.    Now, why would anyone do this?  I am not sure.   For samples, it is great ~ a wonderful way to try out a bunch of different colors before committing to a full sized item.    However, Lassie’el doesn’t seem to be selling full sized versions of these lip colors (yet), so I just think this is just too much trouble to use and a lipstick or gloss is much more convenient and less messy.  That flap isn’t that secure and what a mess that will be in your purse if it opens!

The orange is ORANGE.  The colors in the patches look very nice and muted and I thought that the Lucid Orange would be a nice browny-peach, but it isn’t.   However, the color is fairly sheer when I apply it to my lips and it is very moisturizing, which is probably due to the mango butter, macadamia seed oil, and jojoba seed oil.   I will try out the other colors and if Lassie’el comes out with a full sized version of these colors, I would be interested as the formula is quite nice.

yeah, I am lucid, baby!  Lucid Orange swatch

SR Lip Scrub  Yeah!  A lip scrub ~ and this was is in a massive tube.  This has micro beads that help exfoliate your lips and this contains argan oil, tocopherol, vitamin E.  The MemeCard states it has  snail filtrate and pearl extract, but when I found the ingredients online, I did not see that anywhere in that list.  I think Memebox got confused ~ because this company also makes a lip mask, which contains pearl extracts, and a lip balm, which contains the snail filtrate.  I’ve posted the image below where all of the ingredients are listed out ~ and it seems that people use google translate even on their official websites!  They were images to begin with, so it wasn’t like I could take the original Korean word and look it up that way.  I love lip scrubs and I think everyone should exfoliate their lips twice a week and apply a really great lip balm.   Full Size 30 mL Value $12.00

Ingredients: water, butylene glycol, cetyl alcohol, stearic acid, polyethylene, titanium dioxide, glyceryl stearate,  beeswax, grape seed oil, argan tree kernel oil, macadamia seed oil, polyacrylamide, C13-14 isoparaffin/laureth-7, caprylic/capric triglyceride, microcrystalline wax, triethanolamine, chlorophenyl nesin, allatoin, lavender extract, bergamot leaf extract, peppermint extract, freesia extract, chamomile flower extract, rosemary leaf extract, tocopheryl acetate, betaine, centella asiatica exotica extract, portulaca oleracea extract, aloe vera leaf extract, niacinamide, disodium EDTA, fragrance

SR makes not only a lip scrub, but a lip mask and lip balm.  Here are the ingredients for all three, from the listed website, warts and all in the translation.  Memebox gave some bad information here.

Vivito Dessin Solution Lip & Eye Remover This is unusual in a lip box.  I don’t wear lip stains, so I never have to use a makeup remover on my lips, but I do need eye makeup remover, fer sure.   I love the Vivito brand ~ everything I have received so far has been stellar, from the lip balms to lipsticks to the booster wipes ~ and I hope Memebox still continues to send out Vivito.  Vivito is part of the Shara Shara company along with A.H.C.   This makeup remover has lemongrass oil (YUM)  and rosehip (dog rose fruit ~ rosa canina) oil as its key ingredients.   You can actually see that the oil is separated in the bottle, so before using, you need to shake it so it will mix properly.  Full Size 100 mL Value $32.00

Ingredients: water, cyclopentasiloxane, dipropylene glycol, isohexadecane, portulaca oleracea extract, rosa canina (dog rose) fruit oil, betula alba juice, citrus aurantium bergamia fruit oil (bergamot), pelargonium graveolens flower oil, citrus aurantium dulcis (orange) oil, salvia officinalis (sage) oil, cymbopogon schoenanthus (lemongrass) oil, citrus limon (lemon) fruit oil, geranium maculatum oil, pogostemon cablin oil, cymbopogon nardus oil(citronella), sodium chloride, alcohol, glycerin, benzophenone-4, sodium citrate, caprylyl/capryl glucoside, disodium EDTA, citric acid, dipotassium glycyrrhizate, allantoin, phenoxyethanol, blue 1

Rosemine Vitamin E Lip Balm Mint Tea What a wonderful way to end this box!  It began with a lip balm and ends with a deeply nourishing and hydrating lip balm that is a mint-herbal scent and taste.  I LOVE mint and herbs and this one is a nice thick lip balm.  This is enriched with vitamin E, ceramide, peppermint extracts and 5 different kinds of essential oils.    Full Size 12 g Value $7.00

I really enjoyed the curation of this box!  I had no idea what they would put in here, and although I do think it is missing those lip masks, this is a well-rounded lip care box.

I paid $23.00 + $6.99 in shipping, for a total of $29.99 ~ I am sure I had Memepoints and this box was much less ~ and received a MemeValue ** of $81.00.  ** What is MemeValue?  It is my term to describe the value that Memebox puts on the products, which can be very over inflated.  You can usually find these products at a lesser cost, so I do suggest researching first if you wish to purchase them.  This might have been a lower priced box, but I will use all of the products and am really happy with both Vivito items and the Rosemine Mint Tea lip balm🙂

  1. I really liked this box. WAY more than I thought I would! The Vivito balm is seriously the best thing ever! I do agree the color can get pretty intense if you apply too much, but it feels so nice on the lips and smells mouth-watering! I don’t think they knocked this out of the park per-se, but I do think it’s way, way better than it could have been: hope girl, cheek room, crappy brand lip balms etc lol😉

    1. I agree!! That is why I ordered, cancelled and then reordered again! And was still debating if I should cancel – haha

I was terrified that they would mess this up, but they did a good job.
