This box didn’t come with any informational card. I hope this is not a trend of the “New” Memebox.  I like the cards and I think other customers do as well.    I made my own card here for you to see based on the info card link Memebox provided.  I will also repeat the information in my review as well, as it is hard to read.

As these products are unknown to me and perhaps even to my readers, I am posting a description of the product under my thoughts for every product.  Normally, I just do a snippet or if it is a product that doesn’t really need a description, I won’t post it.  But for the purposes of my Memeboxes, I will make sure I find the appropriate description, usage and ingredient list if I can find it.   The descriptions will be from the webpage that is linked to the product name.  Not all of these products are sold in the Memebox Shop, so I had to look for them on various sites.   I really had a hard time finding these products, by the way, so don’t be thrown off by the Korean websites that are linked here!

Lassie’el Night Miracle Sleeping Pack 4g X 2ea Randomly selected from Egg, Mango, Pearl Shell, Avocado  I received Mango and Egg and I am so happy I received these two.   Egg is great for tightening pores and controlling oil and mango is good for moisturizing.   You open up the pack and mix the gel and cream together and then apply to your face for an overnight treatment.  Lassie’el is the Scottish nickname for girls and “el” refers to Ancient Syria’s “father of gods”.  I am not sure what it all means together, however!  I am happy to get little sleeping packs.   It is a good way to try out different brands and “flavors” without committing to a full jar.   These packs are so cute  ~ you cannot really see it, but the egg container is actually textured like an egg shell and the mango container is smooth like a…!  I will also post information on the pearl shell and avocado sleeping packs as well.  Alas, Lassieel found it important to have the ingredients listed on their Korean site in Korean, but the English site did not have the list of ingredients.   Based on what I can decipher from the pictures, it looks like the key ingredients is the named item in the sleeping pack (egg, mango, avocado or pearl shell) and then Centella Asiatica and Shea Butter.  I am displaying the list here in Korean and if any of my wonderful readers can translate them, I would love it!  Please post in the comments below 🙂    Full Size: 4g X 2ea Value $6.00

Product Description: Adorably packaged mini sleeping packs formulated with concentrated extracts from egg, mango, avocado, and pearl. They work to deeply hydrate and rejuvenate dry, exhausted skin overnight to reveal healthier and brighter complexion the next morning.

How to use: Remove the lid and use the spatula provided to mix the formula inside together and evenly spread the mixture all over face and neck. Go straight to bed without rinsing it off.

AHC Hologram Active Gen Serum  What a cool looking product!  There is actually a color shifting spiral in the bottle and when you pump out the serum, it not only takes from the clear part of the bottle, but sucks up part of the spiral.   For looks alone, this serum is a winner 😉  Ice fig extracts have intense moisturizing properties, hydrolyzed collagen to help with firmness and sin elasticity and ginseng callus extract delivers nutrition to your skin.   This product also contains evening primrose oil extract, whose high fatty acid properties help keep dry areas in your skin hydrated and helps blood circulation.  The active duo ingredients of liposomes will help deliver these ingredients deeply into your skin as well as keeping your skin well hydrated.   This product also contains niacinamide, to help with uneven skin tone and hyper-pigmentation, and has antioxidants in the form of kiwi and tomato extracts.   When I did do a spot test with this serum, I was taken aback by the strong scent of alcohol in it.  My skin can tolerate alcohol, but others cannot.  When I looked at the ingredient listing, the 4th item is denatured alcohol.

Don’t worry, you won’t turn into holographic girl ~ this serum will absorb quickly and leave nothing behind!

I have a problem right now with Memebox.  They are sending out products that are expiring in less than a year now.  First off, this box is called The Next Best Thing in Skin Care, so why aren’t the products in this box newly made?    Also, with such an expensive item in the box, why is this have a shelf life of less than a year?  Memebox used to pride themselves on ensuring that products in our boxes had a shelf life of at least 2 years.   This means that I have to use this serum next in my rotation list.    BTW, I am correct about the made by date.   A blogger at  did blog about this product back in January 2014 and her serum had expiration date of 11/17/2015, which means that this product should have a shelf life of  2 years after the manufacturer date.  We got our serum, with a similar “use by” date, almost a year later.   I saw nothing in these ingredients that would lead me to believe that this is a fragile flower type of serum that has to expire in 2 years either.  I get many items from Memebox that are paraben free and the manufacturing dates are always “fresh” ~ within a few months prior to me receiving my box.  I ran the ingredients list thru so you can see the results for yourself here.   Full Size 50mL Value $89.00

Product Description: This premium serum combines active aesthetic ingredients with a scientific liposome system that maximizes absorbance of nutrients deep into the skin, to give a visibly enhanced complexion. A blend of ice fig extracts, hydrolyzed collagen, and ginseng callus extracts effectively firms, brightens, and repairs dry, damaged skin, reviving youthful and healthy glow to the complexion.

How to use: Apply evenly to clean face. Pat it in for full absorbance. (Best before November 14th, 2015)

IASO Intensive Clear Conditioner 15 sheets  Another product with an expiration date less than a year.  Well, at least with cleansing sheets, I will use them very quickly and within a week.    In Greek mythology, Iaso is the first daughter of Asclepius and signifies rejuvenation and healing.   These cleansing sheets will clarify and brighten skin tone, while it exfoliates dead skin cells with salicylic acid and hydrates skin with centella asiatica and “nutrimarine”, which I have NO idea what that is.  These sheets prepare your skin to best maximize the properties of your other skin care products.   Full size 15 sheets  Value $12.00

Product Description: Containing centella asiatica, aloe vera, licorice extracts, and BHA salicylic acid for softly melting away dead skin cells from the surface of the skin, IASO Intensive Clear Conditioner sheet is a new easy and convenient method to maintaining silky soft and even toned complexion.

How to use: Gently wipe all over cleansed face as the very first step of skin care.  (Best before June 15th, 2015)

Key Ingredients: BHA (Salicylic Acid), Centella Asiatica, Aloe Vera Leaf Juice, Betaine, Ginseng Extract, Green Tea Extract, Licorice Extract

Blithe Patting Water Pack 5ml X 6ea Includes Energy Yellow Citrus & Honey, Soothing & Healing Green Tea, Rejuvenating Purple Berry  I find putting this into a sink very wasteful, not to mention that I think this is more time consuming than slapping on a sheet mask nightly!!  However, my fellow traveler in K-Beauty, Veritazy at pulchritudinous had received the Blithe Patting Water a couple of months ago in another box and decided to put this in a spray bottle!  She recommends adding a mist liquid, such as one of the many facial mists that Memebox has sent out, to make sure that the product doesn’t get stale.  The preservatives in a facial mist solution will keep the Blithe solution fresh.    This however, was in other boxes, not only as the sample that was given here, but a full size version of the Blithe Patting Water was also in a box.  Sample Sizes 30 mL  Value $6.90

Product Description: No need to stick on a sheet mask every night with Blithe’s all-new Patting Water Pack! Simply through patting on the water pack onto your skin, it’ll remove dead skin cells, deliver moisture & nutrition, and renew the skin balance for maintaining soft, moist skin condition. The Energy Yellow Citrus & Honey revitalizes and brightens up the skin and the Soothing & Healing Green Tea is for oil and pore control, while the Rejuvenating Purple Berry works to improve skin elasticity and firmness.

Blithe’s Patting Water Pack is an innovative way to shorten the tedious process that comes with applying facial masks. No longer are you required to slap a mask onto your face and wait around for 20 minutes for all the nutrients to soak into your skin! Double the effects and halve the time just by patting this miracle-in-a-bottle onto your skin.

Blithe’s Patting Water Pack improves the skin’s condition by replenishing the skin’s lost moisture and delivers vital water soluble vitamins and minerals deep into the skin. It also provides a mild and gentle exfoliation, allowing for a faster skin cell regeneration and healthier looking skin.

When I opened the tin, my fingers slipped and I took a chunk out of this!!

Shara Shara Green Tea Seed Magic Balm  This is the most problematic item of the box.  It is a balm that has to be used within 7 months.    Memebox, what are you thinking here?   I guess my body is going to be lubed up for the next few months in order to use this product up before it expires.   This looks like a milky version of Vaseline that is much firmer.  This does not smell like lime whatsoever….It has a funky-ass smell, which has to be coming from the macadamia and grape seed oil and perhaps because it is an older item.   This will be for my feet ONLY.   Full size product: 25mL  Value $17.00

Product Description:  Enriched with green tea seed oil, jojoba seed oil, argan tree kernel oil, and over 30 kinds of natural essential oil, this multi oil balm delivers rich moisture and nutrients by softly melting onto skin. It’s scented with a refreshing lime essential oil fragrance and can be used from head to toe as a multi cream, a sleeping pack, a massage cream, a lip balm, a highlighter, or a hand & foot pack.

Dr.MJ Moisture Bounce Collagen Capsule Cream  I received the DrMJ Bounce BB cream in my OMG4 box, which I gave away, as I do not use BB creams.  However, I will try this “bounce” collagen cream from Dr MJ.  I do like their products and I think the texture is pretty cool ~ this is a gel and I really like how it absorbs quickly into my skin.   It is nice to have some of these lightweight gels for a change.   It has a nice, light fresh scent, nothing overpowering.   I ran the list of ingredients thru and found no triggers that were worrisome.  You can read the results of that analysis here.  Full size product: 50g  Value $54.00

Product Description: A rejuvenating facial cream formulated into bouncy, jelly-like texture packed with collagen capsules, hyaluronic acid, and adenosine to intensively hydrate and gently firm up sensitive and tired skin. It works to alleviate and nourish stimulated skin for a quick skin renewal as well.

How to use: Apply evenly to clean face. Pat it in for full absorbance.

Hydro-Gel Mememask    This is Memebox’s brand of facial sheet masks.  It is a hydro-gel mask, which I like, but it is a two-piece mask, which I do not like, as the lower half always slides down my face.  I will try this out to see if I like it and if I do, I will suggest that they make a one piece mask.  Full Size Value $2.00

Product Description:   More hydrating that a traditional facial sheet mask, the unique hydrogel material delivers mega does of hydrating actives to the skin that glows with each use.  The gel consistency has a pleasing, cooling sensation and adheres closely to the skin.  Propriety PGA penetrates the dermal layer at levels 10 times greater  hyaluronic acid to lock in moisture and nutrients into the skin. Key Ingredients:  Baobab Extract: tightens, tones and moisturizes the skin.  Encourages skin regeneration.   Aloe Vera Leaf Extract: enhances the skin’s  elasticity and delivers cosmic blasts of moisture to the skin. Chamomile Extract: encourages collagen production to maintain the look of  healthy skin

How do I feel about this box?    Memebox has, in the past, prided themselves that their products were fresh and not old.   My Fermented 2 box was delayed by almost 2 weeks because they discovered one of the items, a D’ran serum, was set to expire in 10 months.  Not only did they tell us that before the box shipped out, they gave us the opportunity to cancel and if we didn’t cancel, they were giving us another item in the box AS well as the D’ran serum.  This was the email that I received when I was notified that the Fermented 2 box was being delayed

We are writing this letter to inform you that due to the DRAN Wonder Fermented Serum (which was used as a Spoiler for Fermented Cosmetics 2) expiring in 10 months, we will officially replace it with a different full-sized product that is equal to or greater in value than the Wonder Fermented Serum. However, we will send this Memebox Spoiler product, the Wonder Fermented Serum, to you as a free full-sized gift for you to test and trial. With this, your newly curated Fermented Cosmetics Box will have 8 full-sized products rather than the original 7 full-sized product assortment, and be of higher total value than your original Fermented Cosmetics 2 Box.

Between the 3 items in this box, the 2 items in the Petit Treasures, the expiration date on the Shara Shara Bee Tox spot cream in Global 17 and Tea Tree boxes,  this glut of products that are expiring in less than a year does not make me happy.    Are we now a dumping ground for older products?  Sure, they expire in 6-12 months, but most of these items have a shelf life of  three years and I have shown that one of the items, the Active Gen, was manufactured prior to January 2014.   Which means that The Next Best Thing in Skincare is last year’s or even more old news.  I am disappointed in this and I have never seen so many boxes with soon-to-be expired dates on them in the recent weeks.    I do hope this is not a trend with Memebox.     Global customers are hungry for K-beauty, but we can get our products elsewhere if Global is becoming a dumping ground for items that need to be cleared off some company’s shelf.   The sad thing is that products are all good ~ it is just the shelf-life on 1/2 of the box contents that has tainted it for me.  I do love the Dr MJ Bounce Collegen cream and the sleeping packs and I will use the Active Gen (and quickly).

I paid $23.00 + $6.99 in shipping, for a total of $29.99 ~ I am sure I had Memepoints and this box was much less ~ and received a MemeValue ** of $186.90.  ** What is MemeValue?  It is my term to describe the value that Memebox puts on the products, which can be very over inflated.  You can usually find these products at a lesser cost, so I do suggest researching first if you wish to purchase them.

  1. I’m so disappointed with the ingredients list for the active Gen serum. When I saw it in the box, I was so excited and at the dollar value! But with the first 4 ingredients being so cheap, I’m asking why is it a $90 serum? I really love the ingredients in the Shara Shara balm, but am also disappointed by the expiry. Macadamia nut oils does spoil very quickly, but should have at least 12 to18 months. And when it goes bad, the smell is terrible. I guess this box is “the next” in all my skin routine due to the expiry dates. It’s really too bad. I really wanted to love this box.

    1. I know ~ I am too. I think some are in denial over this box because they WANT to like the pretty products, and ignore the ingredient list and the expiration dates. If we do not complain and make our displeasure known to Memebox, this will continue to happen.
