Informational Card which should explain what I got and its value.

As these products are unknown to me and perhaps even to my readers, I am posting a description of the product under my thoughts for every product.  Normally, I just do a snippet or if it is a product that doesn’t really need a description, I won’t post it.  But for the purposes of my Memeboxes, I will make sure I find the appropriate description, usage and ingredient list if I can find it.   The descriptions will be from the webpage that is linked to the product name.  Not all of these products are sold in the Memebox Shop, so I had to look for them on various sites.   I really had a hard time finding these products, by the way, so don’t be thrown off by the Korean websites that are linked here!

Palan Crysence Home Care Pouch Set ~ Marin Shampoo and Power Treatment I have shorter hair so I will get several of uses out of these foils as they are pretty big, but many ladies have longer hair and these foils are useless to them.  I am a bit surprised to see foils here, as the last Palan Crysence product we had was a fantastic FULL sized essence, which is my HG leave-in hair treatment.    The shampoo is an herbal shampoo, made with chamomile water, peppermint water, rosemary water and lavender water, and made with natural mineral water (90%).  It does sound very interesting and it has a pH balance of 4.8.   The Power Treatment has  hydrolyzed protein keratin and silk, collagen and complex amino acid formulation.   It will promote hair growth and strengthen the hair shaft and protect the hair cuticle.  Sample sizes 4 each 80 mL  Value $14.88  ~ Full size is 1000 mL @ $186.00

Product Description:  Deluxe samples of Palan’s famous “protein shampoo” and “protein treatment” highly praised by numerous hair stylists and top actresses in Korea.  The Crysence Home Care Kit not only nouishes damaged hair but also clarifies and rejuvenates sensitive scalp.  AFter just a single use, many have attested how their dry, mane-like locks have become dramatically softer, silkier, and glossier.  Formulated with 100% natural minerals, hydrolyzed protein, keratin, jojoba oil, salicornia herbacea, tea tree, meadowfoam seed oil and citric acid.

How To Use:  Shampoo:  Massage into hair and scalp thoroughly and rinse off with lukewarm water.
Treatment:  Towel dry hair to the point where hair is still wet but not dripping with water.  Apply the formula thoroughly, spreading it over a handful of locks at a time.  Rinse off after 10-15 minutes.

What is Salicornia Herbacea?

According to Earth Science Naturals, “Salicornia herbacea extract comes from the glasswort plant.  It has antioxidant properties, improves skin hydration and locks in moisture.”  This plant is found on beaches, salt marshes and among mangroves and the plant itself is very edible.  I have eaten “sea beans” here in the Northeast part of the USA and they are quite tasty.

What is MeadowFoam Seed Oil?

image from

Meadow Foam is actually Limnanthes alba, a flowering woodland plant and its oil is the most stable amount plant oils, due to its 98%  long chain fatty acids.    According to Mountain Rose Herbs, “In hair care products, it will add shine and moisture to the hair, and will remedy dry or damaged hair”

Climax Water Pool Cleanser  Most Pool Cleansers want you to use them on already cleansed and dry skin, so I am really thrilled to see that this product is used like a normal cleanser!   I don’t have the patience to wash my face.  Dry it off completely and then cleanse again,  so the other pool cleanser I had was tossed.   This one, I will use.   It is very sticky ~ they were not exaggerating in the description.  Pool Cleansers are designed to melt away makeup, dirt, debris and oil by using the sticky nature of its formula, which will attract and extract all of the gunk and dissolves it.   This is a one-step cleansing routine with no additional cleansing required or needed.   Pool Cleansers also hydrate and moisture your skin too.  I am pretty happy to have a second shot at using a Pool Cleanser!  Full Size 150 mL Value $34.00

Product Description: This highly elastic, sticky textured Water Pool Cleanser is enriched with soda water and over 22 naturally derived components.  Its innovated formula works wonders as this mucin-like gel melts onto skin, extracting and dissolving dirt, oil and makeup residues piled up on the surface.  Double cleanse with this miracle cleanser to completely suck away all residues and impurities from your face.

How To Use:  Wet face and gently massage until cleanser gets thick.  Rinse off with lukewarm water

Key Ingredients: soda water, soap grass extract, muhwanja extract, yam root extract, wheat germ extract

Dr MJ Real Mucin Restore Suncream SPF 45+++   Sunscreen  Made from snail slime.  sigh.   Stop it already, Memebox.   You are now adding sunscreens in every other box, it seems.  First it was Aloe Vera, now sunscreens.   Full size 50 mL Value$41.00p

Cheek Room Lip Palette Randomly selected from 01, 02   This is a palette of four lip products:  one lip balm, one lip gloss and 2 lipstick colors.   I received palette 01, which has a pink, a dark bright red, brown lip gloss and a shimmery clear lip balm.     They are made with Jojoja oil  and I was actually surprised how nice this little compact is.  Based on reactions from other bloggers and chatrooms, I was thinking this was going to be a cheapo-flimsy item, but it isn’t.  The palette has some heft to it and it is nicely done.  The colors are nice as well and one of them,  the brown gloss, is pretty much on track with the neutral tones of Pantone’s 2015 Color of the Year ~ Marsala and you can see that Sephora is also carrying similar colors.  I wouldn’t pay $24.00 for this, but it is not a cheap item.    Full size Value $24.00

With Flash ~ Indie Pink Lipstick, Brown Shiny Lip gloss, Clear Pearl Lip Balm, Deep Red Lipstick

Product Description: A palette containing four highly pigmented, color-intense lipstick shades.  Option 01:  Lip Stick in Deep Red & Indi Pink, Clear Pearl Lip Balm, Brown Shiny Lip gloss.  Option 02: Lip Stick in Purple Lady & Hot Pink, Lovely Purple Lip Balm, Orange Shiny Lip gloss

Shara Shara Pink Piggy Collagen Cream   I actually got a similar product to this in my Mask 5 box, the Elizavecca Green Piggy Collagen Jella Pack    I really did try to like that product, but its texture just skeeved me out to no end and I could not seem to apply it properly, as “chunks” of the jello would just drop off my face before I had to chance to massage it into my skin.   When applying it on my hand initially for my review in Mask 5, I noticed the chunks, but didn’t think much of it, as the product did absorb quickly.    The other issue I had with Elizavecca is that it did leave behind a sticky residue.    This is a fairly new product ~ I found this on Shara Shara’s Facebook page and it was released in August 2014.    This is the translation for their announcement

I did some research on Shara Shara’s competitors, Tonymoly and Holika Holika, and based on what I discovered there, I decided to give this type of “cream” another chance.    The product is a white color, and is a jelly-like texture.  However, it is not as firm as the Elizavecca version and doesn’t have the “chunks” issue ~ it literally melts into my skin and whereas my skin is very moist where I applied it, it isn’t sticky.   It does have a faint floral baby powder scent to it.   This obviously is a night cream and I will give it the college try and use it for a while.    I have nothing against Shara Shara or Elizavecca skincare products, btw, it is just that I am still deciding if I like these pig collagen jelly-creams.   I have oily skin and I was watching I am a Beauty Junkee’s vblogs on the Tonymoly product and based on what she stated, it seems that these types of creams should be applied around my forehead, cheeks and neck.   I should also avoid my T-Zone because these pig collagen creams do not reduce pores, but can enhance them.     Full Size 50mL Value $22.00

Product Description: A skin firming and nourishing cream containing high concentrates of collagen to greatly enhance the skin elasticity and resilience.  Naturally-derived formula made up of collagen, hyaluronic acid and argan oil helps moisturize, rejuvenate and treat fine lines and wrinkles.

Ingredients: hydrolyzed collagen, water, butylene glycol, hydrogenated poly(C6-14) Olefin), glycerin, cyclopentasiloxane, polysorbate 20, dimethicone/vinyl dimethicone crosspolymer, dimethicone, betaine, PEG-240/HDI copolymer bis-decyltetradeceth-20 ether, piper methysticum leaf/root/stem extract, pueraria thunbergiana root extract, glycyrrhiza glabra (licorice) root extract, paeonia lactiflora root extract, onidium officinale root extract, soluble collagen, aloe barbadensis leaf juice, hydrogenated lecithin, sodium hyaluronate, argania spinosa kernal oil, cyclomethicone, hydroxethyl acrylate/sodium acryloyldimethyl taurate copolymer, 1,2-hexnediol, squalane, polysorbate 60, xanthan gum, sodium citrate, ethyhexylglycerin, tocopheryl acetate, C12-14 pareth-7, bisabolol, disodium EDTA, adenosine, citric acid, dicaprylyl carbonate, sucrose distearate, ceramide 3, panthenol, folic acid, cholesterol, raffinose, tromethamine, palitoyl pentapepide-4, fragrance, phenoxyethanol, red 33, yellow 5

Shara Shara Bee Tox Spot Cream  This is the best item in the box, along with the cleanser, imho.   This is also in my upcoming Tea Tree box, so it better be good!   I also like the packaging ~ this must be the first Shara Shara packaging that I actually found cute without being embarrassed about it!  This contains a medical complex made of bee venom extract, white willow extract, camellia oil and tea tree and you apply it on your acne to help suppress and reduce inflammation and speed up with healing time.   The botanical extracts help soothe the skin and relieve pain.  Full Size  15mL Value $18.00

Ingredients:  water, melia azedirachta leaf extract, glycerin, stearyl alcohol, beeswax, hydrogenated polyisobutene, hyaluronic acid, beta-glucan, paraffin, PEG-100 stearate, glyceryl stearate, polysorbate 60, dimethicone, limanthes alba (meadowfoam) seed oil, betaine, emu oil, colloidal sulfer,  cetearyl alcohol, microcrystalline wax, melaleuca alternifolia (tea tree) leaf oil, butyrospermum parkii (shea butter), sorbitan stearate, triethanolamine, carbomer, tocopheryl acetate, citrus paradisi (grapefruit) extract, phenoxyethanol, cetearyl glucoside, triclosan, fragrance, chiorphenesin, salix alba (White Willow) bark extract, disodium EDTA, BHT, butylene glycol, salicylic acid, sophora angusti folia root extract, bee venom (5ppm), propolis extract,  rosmarinu sofficinalis (rosemary) leaf extract, anthemis nobilis (chamomile) flower extract, camellia japonica flower extract

Well……….This isn’t the horrible box that I’ve seen people proclaim.     I do like the Shara Shara Bee Tox treatment and will use the shampoo  and power treatments ~ I wish they were not foils, however.   I am lucky that my hair is not long, so I can get some use of these.  The cleanser also sounds like a very good product.    The lip palette is actually very tastefully done and I like the colors in it.  I am officially sick and tired of sunscreen, damnit.  How much of it am I supposed to use?  I think what people may not like is the two Shara Shara items along with the Cheek Room product.  I would just say, to give it a try.   I’ve been pretty happy with Shara Shara skin care items so far.

I paid $23.00 + $6.99 in shipping, for a total of $29.99 ~ I am sure I had Memepoints and this box was much less ~ and received a MemeValue ** of $153.88.  ** What is MemeValue?  It is my term to describe the value that Memebox puts on the products, which can be very over inflated.  You can usually find these products at a lesser cost, so I do suggest researching first if you wish to purchase them.

  1. Actually, my favorite item is the snail sun cream. I’m pretty obsessed with snail items – the only items in my routine that aren’t snail-based is black soap and my sunscreen. My skin is oily all over and snail items have really helped clear up and smooth out my skin and also control oil production. I don’t understand why people hated this box so much – if I had ordered it, I would have been pretty happy with it.

  2. I really disliked the lip palette. I found them to be relatively pigmented, but as soon as they were on my lips, they were off…they don’t last very long at all for me. I also don’t like how the feel on my lips, or the applicator it comes with. Just not a fan unfortunately 😦
I did like the sunscreen though! I love snail items and I can never have enough sun protection! 😉

    1. My lippie products never stay on my lips!! Maybe that is why I don’t notice it being that bad 🙂 I am just on sunscreen overload here. I have received soooo many sunscreens that I just don’t know what to do with them. I wear stuff with SPF already and sunscreen, does break me out. I am excited to try the sunscreen from the Wine & Cheese box, because that is made for oily skin. Hopefully, that will work for me 🙂
