Memebox Special #53 My Honey Box Review

Memebox’s Superbox #19 Honey  was the very first Memebox I purchased and I really enjoyed it.  It began my Memeaddiction, so when Memebox came out with a sequel, after many customers asking for one, I purchased it.    It cost less than the first Honey Box, so there was speculation that this would not be a good box.   Read on to discover if I think it was or not….

Take this one-of-a-kind honey challenge with Memebox to visibly see and feel an improvement in your skin!

Informational Card which should explain what I got and its value.

As these products are unknown to me and perhaps even to my readers, I am posting a description of the product under my thoughts for every product.  Normally, I just do a snippet or if it is a product that doesn’t really need a description, I won’t post it.  But for the purposes of my Memeboxes, I will make sure I find the appropriate description, usage and ingredient list if I can find it.   The descriptions will be from the webpage that is linked to the product name.  Not all of these products are sold in the Memebox Shop, so I had to look for them on various sites.   I really had a hard time finding these products, by the way, so don’t be thrown off by the Korean websites that are linked here!

Migabee Antipollution RE-Peeling  I love peel off masks.  I have some samples that I received from Ipsy from Hey Honey Take it Off Exfoliating Mask   and I do like them a lot, so this should be a good comparison between the two.  This one is the about the same price as the Hey Honey  mask and twice the product, so if I can ever find this product (as it is sold out), I might be interested in repurchasing….Full Size 100mL Value $37

Pure Smile Snail Lip Treatment Honey  I got one of these in my Vitamin Care and I traded it.   I just cannot put snail mucus on my lips.  I know it is a very hydrating product and wonderful, based on the reviews, but personally, I cannae do it.  Full Size 10g Value $5.00

Product Description: Enriched with honey extracts, snail mucus extracts, grape seed oil, shea butter and many more naturally derived nutrients, Pure Smile’s Lip treatment moisturizes, nourishes and protects dry, chapped lips

How did My Honey Box measure up to the first edition of Honey Box?  Despite the hair pack and snail lip treatment, I think this is as good as the first one.  In fact, I can use these products now, unlike the first Honey box, which has a HUGE container of Honey-Snail cream and that I have to save for the winter.    The first Honey box had a few items in there that I have done repeat purchases on (or would like to, if I can get it shipped to the USA), such as the Secret Key AC Control Spot Remover, BR Ampoule and Skin Factory Honey Mask.   I used (or will use)  all of my products from the first box, whereas this one, there were a couple that I will not use one bit.  I purchased the 1st Honey box for $29.00, but that was because it was on sale ~ it’s normal price was $39.00, so this second edition was less expensive by far, but the value was less as well ~  The value of the first Honey box was $140.00 MemeValue vs $101.00 MemeValue for My Honey Box 2.

My own personal preferences aside, this box is a very good value and it is nicely curated.    I am most excited to try the peeling treatment, the massage cream and sleep pack AND I love the hand cream!  If Memebox does a 3rd edition, I will purchase another it.  I have a few suggestions for the 3rd edition

  • Propolis Toothpaste ~ I’ve tried the one by Atomy and I liked it a lot!  I am sure there are other Korean brands out there that make Propolis toothpaste
  • Propolis Shampoo/Conditioner ~ I recently received a sample from the Apivita Propoline line (yes, I know it is not Korean, but Greek 😉 ) in a chamomile and honey and it was wonderful!  I bet there are Propolis shampoo/conditioner lines in Korea.  Try to pick one that is gentle for all hair types ~ the Apivita one I received was and again, it cannot be hard to find!
  • Honey Body Wash
  • Honey Facial Scrub ~ Skinfood makes a lovely Red Honey Scrub Mask
  • Do you have any suggestions for the 3rd Honey Edition?  Please comment below 🙂

I paid $29.00 + $6.99 for a total of $35.99, but I do know that I probably used my VIP discount, Memepoints and coupons.   I received a MemeValue  of $101.00.

  1. Hello! First off, I want to thank you for all the detail you put into your posts. They really are a gold mine of information!

I only heard of memebox recently (I know – where have I been!), thanks in no small part to stumbling over your blog. So, I finally took the plunge, and this Honey Box is the first box I’ve ordered and received (side note – it was delivered to someone else, who was kind enough to contact me). I’ve been wondering if it is good value, since I’ve no comparison, and it was so good to read your review 🙂

I like the sound of the products in this box, but won’t be able to tell if they’re effective for a while, I guess. I just tried the massage cream, and it goes on nicely – we’ll see tomorrow! I also applied the lip treatment and I really like it! I’m looking forward to trying the peeling mask and cream; not so the hair treatment as waiting another 10 min before rinsing adds too much to bath time (I have 4 kids).

As for a dream honey box (dreamy box?), I’ve heard much about propolis ampoules or serum – maybe that would be good to include? And yes a honey facial scrub sounds great!

    Thanks again!

    1. I would LOVE to get another Honey propolis ampoule! Great suggestion! In the Free From Oil & Troubles 4 box, I did get a serum made from propolis…I think that box is still available, but only bundled with the CutiePie Box -check out my review on the Free From Oil & Trouble box here 🙂

  2. I just bought this box on a restock, and honestly, if I hadn’t read your ingredients list for the peeling mask, I probably would have just used it without thinking twice about my bee allergy. Your reviews are my favourite because you go that extra mile and include as much ingredient info as you can dig up. Thanks!!!
