Memebox Special #30 Tea Cosmetics Review

Tea.  Green Tea, Black Tea, Herbal Tea, I enjoy tea.  I also enjoy having products made with tea, such as Fresh’s Black Tea line.   My second box that I purchased with Memebox was the Green Tea box and I was introduced to A-True, a tea cosmetics line, via Memebox.  I was hoping that Memebox would have more products from them.  When this box went on sale, I was interested and also eager to see the other Tea products.

Informational Card which should explain what I got and its value.

As these products are unknown to me and perhaps even to my readers, I am posting a description of the product under my thoughts for every product.  Normally, I just do a snippet or if it is a product that doesn’t really need a description, I won’t post it.  But for the purposes of my Memeboxes, I will make sure I find the appropriate description, usage and ingredient list if I can find it.   The descriptions will be from the webpage that is linked to the product name.  Not all of these products are sold in the Memebox Shop, so I had to look for them on various sites.   I really had a hard time finding these products, by the way, so don’t be thrown off by the Korean websites that are linked here!

From Nature e Choice Fermented Tea Skin Drinks Sleeping Pack
Aahhhh, I love sleeping packs!  These are super hydrating moisturizers that you put on your face before you go to bed.  Alas, this sleeping pack is made from jasmine and rose, two products that I cannot use due to allergic reactions ~ sobs…..  I was able to find this sleeping pack to a good home, so all was not wasted.  Full Size 70 g Value $2.00 Now, I think the value is a typo from memebox, as the site where I found this pack had it for sale for $9.99.

a;t Fox Tea Toc Water Clear Tablet    This product was in previous Memeboxes, but that was before my time 😀  This is a new product to me and this is another ‘make your own cleansing water’ item.   I never really made my own cleansing waters until Memebox!  This contains green tea extracts from the island of Jeju.   It is supposed to keep your skin healthy, smaller pores, reduce swelling and puffiness.  Memeshop sells this in a box of 8, so I do not consider this “full size” as this is for a one time use. Full Size 4g Value $2.00

Product Description: This water clear tablet will make your daily cleansing routine an entirely new experience! When the tablet melts in warm water, the water is transferred into pH4.9 which is basically the best condition for the skin. The green tea extracts from the tablet will then de-tox and soothe your skin to its potential.

How To Use:  Drop the tea bag into a bowl of water and wait until the tablet resolves completely into water. Gently pat your skin with the water.  Do not rinse afterwards; simply let your skin absorb the goodies.

a;t Fox Gyoolpy Tea Fresh Water   Another a;t Fox product!   This is a facial mist which I am now addicted to, thanks to the facial mists I have received from Memebox.  The packaging is so sweet looking and its official name is Beauty Dessert Gyoolpy Tea Fresh Water.  It has tangerine peel tea, but it doesn’t smell like citrus, much to my disappointment.  This can also be doubled as a toner, which is very handy.   Full Size 100mL Value $10.00

Product Description:The Gyoolpy Tea Fresh Water is a facial mist made from mineral water and vitamin rich tangerine peel tea highly prized for its moisturizing and brightening effect.  Replenish, soothe and refresh with a quick spritz whenever and whereever!

How To Use: Spray the Gyoolpy Tea Fresh Water evenly over your face whenever it feels dry and needs refreshing.  It can also be used as a toner and makeup fixer before and after makeup application.

The Skin House Lavender Lightening Emulsion  WOW.  This is HUGE.  I need to start using my emulsion products!!  This is made with lavender tea (another herbal tea product) and 104 FERMENTED extracts!  I did not open this up to test it as I need to finish off some other emulsions first.   Emulsions are the second step in skincare, after toner application.   Full Size 120mL Value $40.00

Product Description: Infused with lavender tea complex, the Skin House’s Lavender Lightening Emulsion works to smooth out roughened skin texture, deliver deep nutrition and moisture, and brighten up the skin tone all in one.

How To Use:  Apply an adequate amount of the lavender emulsion evenly over your face and pat it in for full  absorbance.

Himalaya Black Tea Watery Gel Cream I have tried the Himalayan line with the moist deep cream, but I have not tried their watery gel.  I am very interested in trying this out as it is supposed to be a very soothing gel moisturizer ~ it will either be used in the winter months or as a sleeping pack, due to its intense hydration.   Deluxe Size 15g Value $14.70

White Snow Tea Brilliant Essence I have tried this before ~ I will reblog my review here.  Ohhhh….snow buds are preciiooousssss…..

Black Tea Water 83% (Compagnie Coloniale)   Deluxe Size 20mL Value $27.50

Product Description: The whitening and moisturizing properties of the brilliant essence help the skin to be resilient and glow with both a pure and natural radiance. The brilliant essence has been formulated using Oriental Beauty Fruits Newplex (Korean Patent).  White Tea was once only exclusively reserved for Emperors of China. The extract of White Tea protects the skin from dark spots helping maintain a crystal clear and clean skin tone.   ‘White Tea’ is a special tea blended from snow buds which are considered extremely precious since it can only be cultivated once or twice every year and carries the energy and nutrition of young, baby spouts.  It’s also very rich in polyphenol which works to deliver vitality to skin and suppress formation of blemishes and freckles.

Directions for Use:  Thoroughly apply on your face and neck. Gently massage the product until it becomes completely absorbed in the skin.

Ingredients: *Camellia Sinensis Leaf Water(32,880mg), 1,2-Hexanediol, Dipropylene Glycol, Niacinamide, Triethylhexanoin, Phenyl Trimethicone, Panthenol, Salix nigra (Willow) Bark Extract, Hydrogenated Lecithin, **Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract(13mg), Viscum Album (Mistletoe) Ferment Extract, Imperata Cylindrica Root Ferment Extract, Ficus Carica (Fig) Fruit Extract, Punica Granatum Fruit Extract, Morus Alba Fruit Extract, Ginkgo Biloba Nut Extract, Macadamia Integrifolia Seed Oil, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Dimethicone, Sodium Polyacrylate, Polyurethane-39, Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Propanediol, Fragrance, Water, Disodium EDTA * Compagnie Coloniale® Black Tea Water  ** Compagnie Coloniale Black Tea Blending™ Formula

This essence is very creamy and reminds me of what Westerners think of for serums.   It absorbed quickly into my skin.  As with the toner, there was a slight stinging sensation, but again, it was over within a second or two.  I used these products for 2 days and did not experience any negative reactions to them ~ I did not break out in acne, which is common for me if I am using a product that is the wrong type for my skin.   White Snow Tea Brilliant line did not have any noticeable fragrance, which I really do prefer in my skin care products.    If I choose to purchase a whitening product line, A-True’s White Snow Tea Brilliant line will be the first one I will purchase.  I have tried others in the past and they were very heavy creams and they were too much for my skin type.   White Snow Tea Brilliant is a great fit for my skin type.

Other than the sleeping pack, which I cannot use due to rose and jasmine products being so predominately featured, I am pretty happy about this box.  I would have liked some facial masks made from tea, but I was pleased that they included not only green and black tea products, but some herbal tea products as well.    I was happy to see a;t Fox and A-True in this box.

I paid $29.00 ~ the shipping was bundled with the scrub box, so it was “free” here.   I received a MemeValue  of $101.23.

  1. I loved this tea box! Mostly because of the A-True, of course. I die on the White Snow Tea Brilliance Essence. I think it smells heavenly and can you believe the regular price is $55 for 40ml! I’m bummed about the Lavender Emulsion because there’s so much lavender in it, I can’t get it past my allergies (like I did with the Timeshift Toner). I’m so addicted to mists, too. I can’t wait for my Earth and Sea box to get here!

    1. The White Snow is so wonderful with my oily skin – it actually gives it a matte finish. I wish it wasn’t so expensive 😦 But we did get 20mL in our box! I am hoping my Earth & Sea boxes get here sometime this upcoming week – they just left Flushing, NY (they cleared Customs very quickly!) and so it all depends on the route they take going up the east coast.
