Memebox Scentbox #6 Sweet Shop Review

I really wasn’t that interested in the Floral or Sweet Shop scentboxes, but I thought that they might be nice boxes for my nieces, so I ordered them.  They allowed me to do the review before sending the boxes to them, where they can fight over what they want to get.  This is for the Sweet Shop box, which is the last of the trio of scentboxes.  It is also the most misleading of the 3 boxes, because this is not a sweet shop scent box.

What is Memebox?

Informational Card which should explain what I got and its value.

As these products are unknown to me and perhaps even to my readers, I am posting a description of the product under my thoughts for every product.  Normally, I just do a snippet or if it is a product that doesn’t really need a description, I won’t post it.  But for the purposes of my Memeboxes, I will make sure I find the appropriate description, usage and ingredient list if I can find it.   The descriptions will be from the webpage that is linked to the product name.  Not all of these products are sold in the Memebox Shop, so I had to look for them on various sites.   I really had a hard time finding these products, by the way, so don’t be thrown off by the Korean websites that are linked here!

Pure Smile Pearl Choosy Lip Masks in Pink Pearl and White Pearl.   According to what I found out, the pink pearl is a rose scent and the white pearl has a faint aroma of frangipani.   These contain Vitamin E, Collagen and Hyaluronic Acid.   These are great masks for your lips ~ I haven’t used the Pearl Shining series before, but I have tried their Choosy Lip Masks in other “flavors”.   I hope my nieces share ~ one for each!  On a side note, I do think those images with the candy is very…err..suggestive!  haha    2 masks Value $5.00

Hope Girl Tinted Lip Balm  Randomly selected from strawberry, love peach and hot cherry.  Hmm.   Really?  This is a “sweet shop” type of product?   Memebox had cute little lip balms in their Memeshop (still do) and I am thinking they kinda missed the boat by selecting the Hope Girl product.   I did purchase several of those lip balms at their Memeshop back on August 14th and I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED them.  Grrrrr.  But once I get them, those will be given to my nieces instead of this lip balm.    This box had the Love Peach lip balm ~ which is ORANGE and I already know that they won’t wear orange.  Full size 5g Value $12.00

Product Description:  Scented with a delicate strawberry, peach or cherry fragrance, Hope Girl’s Tinted Lip Balm is both a lip tint and lip balm.  While the co-enzyme Q-10 and shea butter formula deeply nourishes your chapped lips, the lovely tint will stain your lips with a long-lasting, colorful radiance!

Pure Smile Jewelry Scrub  Randomly selected from diamond, ruby, topaz, emerald, sapphire.  I guess because this is a sugar scrub (for the body) that is why it is in a Sweet Shop box.  I do not know what the difference is with all of these “scents”.   In this box, I received the Diamond scrub and it doesn’t smell sweet, but floral.    This is a body scrub.  Memeshop states to use it on your face, but it is not for your face.  The informational card is correct.  Full size 100 mL Value $8.00

Product Description: Pure Smile’s sweetly scented body scrub is made from black sugar, shea butter, jojoba seed oil, glycerin and also diamond powder extracts for cleansing your skin of any impurities and maintaining it silky smooth and healthy!

Hello Everybody Spa Vita Berry Shampoo    Again, not sure why berries are in a sweet shop scentbox.   This shampoo is very nice, I have used it before and it does smell wonderful!  But I would think this belongs in the berries box.  This product contains Italian SPA water (Hot Spring) and has 10 berry complexes ~ cranberry, raspberry, bilberry, blackberry, blueberry, cloudberry, juniper berry, acai berry, black crowberry, maquiberry.   Full Size 220 mL Value $23.00

  • 7-Free Relief : This does not contain the  7 common ingredients harmful to human body.
  • Fresh Strawberry Scent.
  • Excellent for Revitalizing Dry, Lifeless hair.
  • Provide Rich Vitamins & Minerals with 10-berry complex.

Again, like the Floral Scentbox, this box had loads of potential ~ Memeshop had cute little macaroon lip balms, but instead, a Hope Girl lip balm that is fruit flavored is included.   I was expecting gingerbread, bakery scents, toffee, lollipops, cute packaging.  Oh well.   Out of the 3 scent boxes, the Tropical Fruits one was the one that Memebox did get right;  this box and the Floral one were kinda tragic.  The shampoo is very good, but that isn’t a “sweet shop” item.

I paid $15.00 + $6.99 in shipping, for a total of $21.99 ~ I am sure I had Memepoints and this box was much less ~ and received a MemeValue ** of $48.00.   ** What is MemeValue?  It is my term to describe the value that Memebox puts on the products, which can be very over inflated.  You can usually find these products at a lesser cost, so I do suggest researching first if you wish to purchase them.

  1. I got this one and didn’t think it smelled like “yummy sugar crystals and sprinkles” at all. The scrub smelled powdery, and I didn’t even open the balm because I don’t care for cherry (which is not sweet or “sprinkly” anyway). Boo for misleading box descriptions. But I guess I can’t expect them all to be winners. At least the shampoo smells good 🙂
