July: Products I really like a lot!

The month of July has a lot of Korean products in it, thanks to a Memebox Addiction I have!  I decided to write about this today, as I was disappointed that my Memeboxes of Pore Care 3 and Fermented 2 would not be arriving today.  Memebox sent me an email this morning

We are writing this letter to inform you that due to the DRAN Wonder Fermented Serum (which was used as a Spoiler for Fermented Cosmetics 2) expiring in 10 months, we will officially replace it with a different full-sized product that is equal to or greater in value than the Wonder Fermented Serum. However, we will send this Memebox Spoiler product, the Wonder Fermented Serum, to you as a free full-sized gift for you to test and trial. With this, your newly curated Fermented Cosmetics Box will have 8 full-sized products rather than the original 7 full-sized product assortment, and be of higher total value than your original Fermented Cosmetics 2 Box.
To make this happen, please understand that it is necessary to delay your product’s shipping date until August 4th.
So, no memebox reviews for today :(  All of the products mentioned in this blog will have the links to the product itself if you wish to purchase them.  Other than the Memebox links, of which I am an affiliate, all other links are just the store links and I do not have any affiliation with them.

Hanhui Precious CC Cream SPF50+ PA+++  Anti-Wrinkle and Whitening

From Memebox Oriental Medicine box.    I do not use BB creams (as of yet!)  I have tried BB creams in the past and they left my face greasy.  I love my Jouer Moisterizing Matte Tint, so that is another reason why I am not easily seduced by BB creams.  Now, CC creams on the other hand…I do not know that much about CC creams and I had to look up information on them when I received this Hanhui CC cream.

What is it? Packed to the gills with vitamins C and E, complexion corrector cream is similar to BB cream, but focuses on color correction.

What it does: Lighter than a BB cream, CC cream’s primary purpose is to correct color-related skin issues, such as sallowness or redness. Like BB cream, it has SPF as well (number varies by brand).

How to use it: If you’re acne-prone, have dull skin, dark spots or constant redness, CC cream is for you.

How it differs: Use CC cream to help with redness, acne, dark spots, sallowness and more. It’s also lighter than BB cream!

This product is very white out of the tube, but after I rubbed it in and my skin absorbed it, it actually did even out my skin tone and  it does hide imperfections.  This  CC cream has red ginseng extracts, cactus extracts and galactomyces fermented extracts.   I have used this daily since I have received it and I love that it “preps” my face for Joeur’s tint.  It also has sunscreen production in it and for the summer, I do need that.  Alas, I still cannot find this product anywhere to repurchase, but at least I am now venturing into the world of CC creams and if they are like this one, I will be happy with them.

Starlooks Eye Pencil in Blue Chill

From Starlooks July Starbox.   I am not sure when my love for blue eyeshadow and eyeliner began ~ it has been within the last couple of years.  I shunned these colors before and I do not know why!  I love this metallic electric blue and it goes on smoothly.   It has a hint of green in it.  Retail Price: $12.00

Sheet masks

Just in general, okay?  Love them all, from facial, to lips, to eyes, to hands and feet.   Special shout out to Skin Factory 7 Seconds Morning Sheet 7 in 1 ~ I received that one in my Memebox Mask #4 box and it is more of a pad soaked in essence and you use it to massage your face and deliver the benefits of a toner, emulsion, essence, anti-wrinkle serum and dead skin cell remover.  Great idea and I hope I can find it reasonably priced somewhere to repurchase.

Gokmul Care Creamy Cleansing Masque

From Memebox Global Box #9This product looks horrible ~ an awful shade of brown ~ but has a rich earthy smell, which some dislike but not me and is one of the best deep cleansers that I have tried.  A little is all you need ~ I just scoop it out into the palm of my hand, add some water to activate the lather and then apply to my face.  Rinse fully with warm water.  My face feels smooth and looks brighter.  This is also an exfoliator, which explains the smoothness of my skin texture.  I did not detect any lingering scent as others reported as I did rinse very well.    It contains some wonderful ingredients, such as mung beans (nokdu), brown rice, barley, buckwheat, kelp, green tea, and spinach.  This product is hard to find online in this format, but on occasion, it might pop up on eBay.  I have two of these because I did swap for another one.  Retail Value: $45.00, but if you do find it, the seller might be selling it for less.

LAILLY Cooling Pore Pack

From Memebox Nakedbox #23.   This product is a smooth mask that when I apply it to my face, targeting my T-zone, has a cooling effect.  It is supposed to tighten up your pores as it deep cleans.  It has fruit extracts, such as strawberry, raspberry, blackberry and acai berry. When I apply it to my face, I automatically think I am a “grey”  ~ X-File fans will get the reference!  Currently, you can get a really good deal at Memebox shop ~ the cooling pack, steam pack and a deep conditioning/repair hair mask, all for $28.00

After applying Lailly Cooling Pack onto face ~ hahaha

Secret Key Honey Bee AC Control Mist

Purchased from beautynetkorea.com, but you can find it elsewhere.  However, beautynetkorea.com has the best prices and if you don’t mind waiting a couple of weeks, they have the better deal.  This mist is great for those who are prone to oily skin (me!!) and get acne (me again!!).  It has Bee Venom in it and it is a refreshing mist that I spray on my face in the morning as the first step in my skin care regime.  I also use it at night as well.  It contains tea tree oil, royal jelly and rosemary extracts as well.  I have the spot remover as well, and just purchased the foaming cleanser ~ that is how much I enjoy this Honey Bee line from Secret Key.  You can pick this up for under $11.00 at beautynetkorea.com

Ingredients : Purified water, Glycerin, Propylene glycol, Ethanol, Butylene Glycol, Tea Tree Leaf Extract, Centella asiatica Urban extract, Tea tree leaf oil, PEG -40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Salicylic acid, Panthenol, Allantoin, Disodium EDTA, Methyl paraben, Apisination

Vapour Elixir Plumping Lip Gloss in Vivid

From Saffron Rouge Inner Circle July bag.  This is a beautiful raspberry lipgloss, high reflecting and has subtle silver sparkles in it.  Very subtle.   It is very pigmented and tastes like a fruity candy.

Ruahin Ruah Magic Lipstick Blue

From Memebox Colorbox #3 Blue.   I love berry lip colored products and even though this is a bright blue in the tube, on the lips it turns into a wonderful berry color.   It isn’t as sheer as my Givenchy Noir Revelateur  lipstick, but it has the same moisturizing balm qualities.  I also took some swatches with the Laqa & Co Lip Lube in Menatour, which was a featured favorite in my June Products blogRetail Value: $15.00

  • Ruahin Magic Lipstick Blue: a muted berry color.
  • Givenchy Noir Revelateur: more glossy than Ruahin, very sheer berry.
  • Laqa & Co Lip Lube Menatour:  same glossiness as Ruahin, more of a violet/orchid color.

Hang Ten Dark Tanning Oil SPF 8

From Ipsy July bag.  I do not actively seek the sun to tan.  That is not why I love this product.  I love this product because the oil makes for a wonderful product to help with dry elbows, feet, cuticles.   It also leaves my skin silky smooth.  This smells wonderful and it is full of great ingredients.  Retail Value: $11.99, but you can purchase it at drugstore.com for $8.99

Active Ingredients: Octinoxate 4% (Sunscreen), Octisalate 3% (Sunscreen)

Inactive Ingredients: Aleurites Moluccana (Organic Kukui) Seed Oil, Argania Spinosa Kernel (Organic Argan) Oil, Canola Oil, Citrus Aurantifolia (Lime) Oil, Cocos Nucifera (Organic Coconut) Oil, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Euterpe Oleracea (Organic Acid) Fruit Extract, Flavor, Helianthus Annuus (Organic Sunflower) Seed Oil, Isopropyl Myristate, Macadamia Ternifolia (Organic) Seed Oil, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Silybum Marianum (Organic Lady’s Thistle) Extract

RiveCowe Sebum Control Convenient Compact

From Memebox Office Essentials box.  There was not a whole hell of lot from the Office Essentials box that I liked or would even use, but this product is a WINNER.  It has herbal ingredients and really does the trick to reduce the shine on my T-zone during the day, without any cakeiness.  You can purchase this on eBay for under $13.00

Jasmine Seven Fresh Feet Wipes in Peppermint

From Birchbox.  I walk a lot.  In the summer, I wear sandals and flip flops, open toed sneakers.  My feet get dirty and sweaty ~ sorry that I just smashed your overly girly feminine perception of me~ lol   I am more of a tomboy at heart.   At any rate, these are great wipes for the feet, smell like peppermint ~ and you know how much I love peppermint ~ and are very refreshing.   Wipes for the feet?  Who knew that I would love them so much?   A canister of 45 wipes is $8.95

Evas Mimi Lauryne’s Dress Perfume Mist de Grapefruit

From Memebox Scentbox #3 GrapefruitI know this is a clothes/fabric spritzer, but I love the refreshing citrus scent and use it to spray on my clothes as a perfume for a hot, humid summer day :)  It has grapefruit, lilac, orange blossom, violet tones. Retail $18.00

I hoped you enjoyed reading about my favorite new products. Let me know if you have tried them and what you think about these products or comment on your own favorite recent finds!
